Iran's hardline president lashed out anew at the United States and President Barack Obama on Saturday, accusing him of interference and suggesting that Washington's stance on Iran's postelection turmoil could imperil Obama's aim of improving relations.
"We are surprised at Mr. Obama," Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said in remarks to judiciary officials broadcast on state television. "Didn't he say that he was after change? Why did he interfere?"
"They keep saying that they want to hold talks with Iran ... but is this the correct way? Definitely, they have made a mistake," Ahmadinejad said.

That hopey changey thing is harder than it looks.

I love having discussions with my liberal acquaintances and asking them how that whole "respect" thing from the world is going. Mostly I just get the stink-eye and a grumble before they try to change the subject.

It would appear that even those who insist on looking at the world through rose-colored glasses understand the futility of appeasement and apology.
Of course, there are others who are so far gone that they're delusional. I think DU is full of those kinds of people.

No, sadly, a lot of Zerobama's supporters still think he's going to turn it around, despite what they've seen thus far. And AFAIK, none of them post on DU, Kos, or Huffpo.

Dunno about that, Sparky. I think Lord Zero is trending downwards, never to recover.
Of course, he still has his zealots and his worshipers, but I think many, many so-called independents who voted for his ass (the voters who put him in ****ing office) are definitely experiencing buyer's remorse. Polls are indicating such, at least.

barack's ignorance, incompetence and naivety keep biting him in the a**, you should never tell your enemy what it is you fear they will use against you.
-
Yeah, they elected a baffoon to be president.
-
We're being accused of interfering with their country anyway. We should do what we want instead of watching this one sided slaughter.

The people of Iran are human. It's the President who isn't.
