Veal: delicious cruelty-- or just delicious?
The Rita Hayworth primitive, who probably showed up here hoping the spoiled rich kid the grazing primitive was here too:

21. I never knew all of that.
But, I have never had veal myself.
It is sad conditions like this are legal.
The Kali primitive from southernmost Texas, a second-tier primitive, not to be confused with the cali primitive from Vermont, a third-tier primitive:

No one seems to get upset over baby carrots and miniature ears of corn.

10. Cruelty.
Plus, it tastes gross.
I dunno. franksolich had veal at home one time, when he was a little lad.
It was okay, but nothing great.
And then later, in elementary school, in the cafeteria, veal was a common item, but it being school food, franksolich avoided it.

12. I wonder if cannibals have the same ethical culinary preferences, or if it doesn't matter how the Homo sapiens are kept, caught, raised or dispatched? Might baby humans be a delicacy? Do they taste like chicken? (I hope nobody here can answer that question.)
I'll bet Ms. Ed, the unappellated eohippus, might be able to answer that question.
Wouldn't hurt to ask her.

19. TORTURED FLESH! Nothing less.
I ate it when I was a kid because I didn't know any better. I stopped as soon as I found out how they torture the calves. I'm sorry, but it is sick and perverted to eat something when you are aware of the pain and suffering inflicted on the creature to create it. Shame on you.

20. The most delicious meat there is, and it makes me sad I can no longer eat it.
Being as my favorite meal is veal flambé, then smothered in a white wine cream sauce with mild mushrooms.
(A meal served in the restaurant my father owned when I was little. God it was yummy)

22. Veal schnitzel?
I used to find it delicious, but just can't anymore. The sauce and mushrooms is delicious on veggie schnitzel. Here's what I use:

Damn DUmmies put animals above humans.
DUmmies I would have NO problem whacking a calf on the head with a sledgehammer. They are herbivores...IE: FOOD

Speaking of cutesy, cloying, sickening terms for food, another nausea-provoking word is "yummy". In fact, "yummy veggies" may be the most disgusting combination of terms in our language. Those moonbat words should never be spoken outside the walls of a Fresh Market. (If the government established a reservation for moonbats, which isn't a bad idea come to think, the main retail outlet inside its walls would surely be a Fresh Market. It's like going to the zoo.) The only thing worse might be working in a reference to one's "tummy".
-
Damn, we're on exactly the same wavelength, GoBucks, sir.
"Yummy" is pretty baby-talkish, too.
I just can't understand this primitive habit of giving cutesy nicknames to inanimate objects, as if they're living things.
One time, when still at our old home, I got stymied when watching a primitive talk about her "lappy."
I had to run all over our old home, before finding someone who could translate that primitive baby-talk for me; apparently the primitive was talking about a laptop computer.
The primitives think they're hip, cool, trendy, with-it, doing this, but actually the primitives are just being stupid.
-
Damn It primitives - Now I want veal. With fresh asparagus.

Not quite... Veal calves, albeit unwittingly or unwillingly, are productive. They allow ranchers to have jobs and people to eat. They do not take from others without giving something in return.
Besides, veal is delicious, DUmmies, not so much...

I just got back from a backpacking trip. One dish we made is Vigo Black Beans and rice. We add bellpepper and onion to the mix. It was one of the best one's wev'e made in years. I took a bite and told my buddy, "Damn! that shit kicks some f*ckin ass!"
Yup, it was that good.

ha ha ha ha ha ha...
I think the only time I had veal, it was breaded, fried, and covered in tomato sauce. It was okay, but I'd rather have the chicken.
-
I share Frank's impression, edible enough but hard to see what the big deal is about it, it's just not that special. Jaegerschnitzel is quite delicious, but it tastes just as good if you use a pork schnitzel instead of a veal one.

I'll second that. And it's a whole lot cheaper, too.

All of you yummy tummy veggie people are so cutesy and sweet you belong at the DUmp. So I turned on ESPN this morning, and the first thing I heard was some pinhead announcer talking about a ballplayer's injured "hammy". I nearly puked in my cornflakes.
I'd rather watch an Extenz commercial marathon than listen to a "hammy" report. (If it didn't do something remarkable...)
-

Otherwise known as "veal Oscar".....
Lightly breaded veal cutlet (tenderloin pounded thin), sauteed in olive oil....topped with crabmeat, steamed asparagus, covered with Hollandaise. (Knorr's in the package is really almost as good as the stuff from scratch...have done both....and the package stuff is sooooooooo much easier!)

What is it lately with the primitives starting posts to intentionally antagonize their fellow primitives? They just want to get the PETA and vegan types all mad and try and get them banned. It's in their best interest to try and not upset anyone seeing they're continually becoming more and more marginalized, that is if being the marginalized of the already marginalized is even possible. That place is continually getting stranger and stranger.
.

That place is continually getting stranger and stranger.
Skins's island always has been continually getting stranger and stranger.
It's sort of a rapid devolution constantly downward.

Id say its accelerated as of late - probably because they no longer have a viable enemy to collectively demonize.

I've been around enough cattle to fully realize they are nothing but food. Dumb as stumps, they eat a freely growing, cheap food (grasses/grains) and get rather large. Besides, if they weren't made of meat, what would be the point?
