Oh my.

First, the racist babbling sister primitive, who thinks "darky" and "pickaninny" and "sambo" toys are "cute":

Does anyone not 'tweet'? I don't, and have no clue how to do so. And I don't have a mobile phone either.

It's an enormous bonfire, so only the Primitives of Prominence:

3. I'm a newcomer to it, was persuaded by events in Iran when CNN failed me last weekend.

I do it old school, in my web browser, without any other fancy schmancy 3rd party apps. I'm a minimalist.

If you want to get a feel for it, go here:

http://twitter.com/#search?q=%23demund

and read what a few of us were doing for the hour or so while DU was down earlier

8. It was a regular party over there

now I do have a client for the Ipod, but don't use it much

23. I can't knock Facebook, because it's brought me in touch with lots of family and friends.

I'm not one of those who posts "news" of my breakfast choice or latest bowel movement. I update infrequently it would appear, compared to most Facebook users. But I check it out every day. Not all technology is bad just because it exists.

28. LOL I have never once read anyone on Twitter or Facebook talking about bowel movements

Let's put that rumor to rest.

27. Why would you "follow" anyone?

I don't get it. Sounds like digital stalking. Except you're stalking someone who actually LIKES being stalked. Sounds creepy.

37. That's what Twitter calls it

You follow and you are followed.

Definitely not comfortable for the paranoid.

14. If I can heckle Hoekstra via Twitter, I may have to do it.

The California real-estate magnate who prospered and flourished during the "lousy" "Bush economy":

15. I signed up, was shown a list of people who wanted to tweet me and decided I didn't want to be tweeted by any of them. I still have an account but I never use it.

If anybody wants to know what I'm doing they can ****ing call me and ask.

We have a couple of family members who cannot amuse themselves. They have to be communicating with somebody else by phone, IM, texting,or whatever. They probably love twitter. I would never tell them I have an account.

63. Actually you can follow physicists, museums, journalists, etc

And they all have pals that are really interesting as well..

I follow David Corn, who tweets White House Press conferences live with opinions, and will answer you back if you have a question.. David Shuster too..

All the people you USED to be able to email who WON'T or Cant write you back now are likely to respond..

For Activism it's ****ing Revolutionary..

50. So popular and useful that only about 40% of the Twits stick with it...

I like this quote about Twits the best: "Using Twitter for literate communication is about as likely as firing up a CB radio and hearing some guy recite ‘The Iliad,’"

Well, that's it.

Apparently if one twitters "demund," he gets the primitives?

I dunno; I don't want to get that close.

I signed up and forgot the password before I ever used it. lol.

I call them Twits, those who use Twitter for whatever. The Iranians have to resort to it, but I don't. Yet.
