Title: Thundering Thursday
Post by: NHSparky on June 18, 2009, 06:55:19 AM
68 with rain showers coming in today, possibly over an inch tonight.  Summer might get here eventually--just in time for winter.

12-hour day today, 8-hour day tomorrow, drop the dog off at the kennel, do the domestic stuff, and get ready to fly out to Phoenix on Saturday.

Ah, the excitement that is my life.  At least I'll be missing the rain until I get back from AZ.

All our thunder is gone for now....it poured rain, with thunder and lightening all night, but now the sun is out.

Getting the back hatch glass replaced in the truck today.  It shattered for no reason (well, I'm sure there was a reason, but nothing anyone did to it...duh) the other day.  It was being closed, got about 8 inches down from fully open and it shattered in my son's hand.

On doing some research, Mr Flame discoverd there are hundreds of silent recalls on the peice of crap.  One of the complaints is that the back glass binds up and breaks when you try to close it.  Surprise.

Other than that, there is baseball this morning, then baseballx2 this evening.   Hope ya'll have a noce day!

Sunny here this morning.  High of 96 today with very high humidity.  I blame algore...if he hadn't invented globalwarming, this would never happen.   :-)

Making preparations to move lug-nut jr to his new home.  He starts a new (first) job on Monday.   :yahoo:

I looked at a serious fixer-upper last night.  House is pretty much completely gutted, would need new plumbing, new everything.  But the price is cheaper than any house I've ever seen in my area.  I'm planning to talk to a mortgage broker today to see what sort of options they can give me.  Looks like lots of people are interested, so it may not work out.  Also, I have to really consider if I want to deal with that big of a fixer upper.

High 90's and finally clear here.  We've been putting up with lower than normal temps (mid 80's) for the last 3 weeks.
I'm getting the backpack ready for this weekends trip.

My AC is fixed and it was a short service call with a single burned out switch replaced on the outside unit!  :yahoo:

It stopped working last night midway through the cooking of the pizza at 450 degrees in the oven.  :p  House got hot as sin.

I have to mow the grass today and get some small stuff done.  Nothing too major today.  I miss my girls. the house seems really empty right now. :(

Sort of slowly getting ready for the trip at the end of the week as well.

We have not seen rain in 8 weeks, todays high will be 96. Humidity is high, as it wants to rain, 30% (which is still very low compared to other places)

I'm headed to work, if I ever get up and get ready.
