...Todd busted Letterman in the mouth?
"Any 'jokes' about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too."
- Todd Palin
"Concerning Letterman's comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he'd ever dare make such comments about anyone else's daughter): 'Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands - that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's daughter, contribute to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.'"
- Governor Sarah Palin

Freakin scumbag. Letterman hasn't been funny in years if not decades. He's flipped his lid.
-
I'd like to see Letterman try that sh*t with Todd Palin standing right next to him.
What an a$$hole.
-
I used to like Letterman. Now he's something akin to a DUmmie to me.
-
Letterman has no jokes without being cruel anymore.
Two recent Palin jokes. The first is the most offensive one. The second one he merley calls Sarah "slutty looking".

The only way this idiot can stay in the public's eye is by making these sort of "jokes". He is irrevelant, and should be treated as such...I wonder how he would like it if someone joked about his son? He's deserves to be bitchslapped, not by Todd, but by Sarah... a swift kick to his groin wouldn't hurt either.

Wouldn't hurt him at all. Nothing there.

Hi,

Not that he would ever have done that, but if he had his show would be cancelled by now. Hell it would have been cut off in mid broadcast.

Letterman Stops Short of Apologizing for Off-Color Jokes About Sarah Palin's Daughter
Late-night talk-show host David Letterman stopped short of apologizing Thursday for "jokes" he made the night before about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, including one that referred to her daughter being "knocked up" by New York Yankees baseball star Alex Rodriguez.
"We were, as we often do, making jokes about people in the news and we made some jokes about Sarah Palin and her daughter, the 18-year-old girl, who is — her name is Bristol, that’s right, and so, then, now they’re upset with me," Letterman said. "These are not jokes made about her 14-year-old daughter. I would never, never make jokes about raping or having sex of any description with a 14-year-old girl. I mean, look at my record. It has never happened. I don’t think it’s funny. I would never think it was funny. I wouldn’t put it in a joke…"
*snip*
Letterman came under fire for his Tuesday night monologue in which he noted that the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate attended a Yankees game during a trip to New York City, where she was honored by a special needs group. Letterman referred to Palin as having the style of a "slutty flight attendant."
He then took a shot at Palin's daughter, saying, "during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez."
*snip*
Palin's husband, Todd, echoed her sentiments, telling FOXNews.com, "Any ‘jokes’ about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it, and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too."

More proof that Letterman is an a$$hole.
-
Oh, so an 18-year old daughter is okay, but not a 14-year old daughter?
Nice moral compass you got there, asshat.
BTW--we know who you were intending to speak of. Bristol wasn't in NYC last week. Willow was.
Apology, or whatever the hell you called that, NOT ACCEPTED.

Letterman will never get fired, but we can sure make life hell for him:

He would be off the air in 30 seconds.

David Letterman is untouchable...He is CBS...He realizes that he can say what ever he wants to and no one and I mean NO ONE can say anthing about it...why...TWO WORDS...WORLDWIDE PANTS...Ever watch how many shows on CBS have the worldwide pants logo after the credits? Dave owns that...therefore, If they fire him, he takes worldwide pants with him, and the rights to all the hit shows on CBS...He has the network between a Rock and a Hard Place...he has made all the money he needs, so what does he need to be careful about? Nothing...I loved dave when he was irreverant and funny...Now he just acts like an ass and that is it.

I am constantly amused by the fact that every appearance by Palin sends the left into a frenzy.........and the only explanation that I can logically come up with is fear.........they subliminally know that the magic negro is sinking badly in the public's opinion of his policies and actions.......and they are scared as hell of her as a future candidate, now that McCain has been relegated to the dustbin of history.......they remember the turnout at her campaign events, and how she brought McCain's campaign back to life........and worry........

Gingrich/Palin 2012 :-)
The heads will explode . :maddernhell: Palin was on the Today's show with Matt Lauer.....called him naive for believing Letterman's "apology" was sincere. She did good...Lauer was annoying..not AS annoying as Kouric..but close.
Also, they showed the View girls discussing it...everyone but Joy Behnar agreed that it was insulting to woman...Joy is another moonbat I'd like to see go the same way Rosie O'Donnell did.

They're just threatened by women who are prettier than they are...and that would be just about any other woman...even Phyllis Diller.

If Freerepublic can bring down Dan Rather, a big time CBS reporter, than we can bring down David Letterman. I don't watch late night talk shows and they are lame.

I remember they whined about what happened to Bill Maher after 9/11.
Now Sarah Palin Calls for Uprising Against Letterman for Joke About Her Daughter. I say good. Letterman is a zero.

Matt lauer had the nerve to say to Sarah "isn't it over the top to say you wouldn't trust Letterman alone with your children." I looked incredulously as Sarah did and though now wait a second isn't it over the top for a 62 year old man to make a joke about a 14 year old girl involving anything remotely sexual? This is the typical left MO though, try to move the outrage where it does NOT belong from the person it should be on.
I'd say Sarah's outrage is justifiable. if they could put politics aside for a moment and think as parents, they would understand why. Forget politics, I'd be ready to kick the ass of a man myself who said something so despicable about my child. Sarah's not saying this as someone at the right towards someone in the left--she's saying this as a mother who has every right to defend her UNDERAGE child.
At this point too, I think what pisses off Sarah the most is A)Letterman's apology is not genuine since he's backpeddling and saying he didn't mean *THAT* child B) the media defense of Letterman C) The lefts pure unadulterated faux outrage when a right winger says anything remotely offensive to them(usually about other ADULTS I might add) but now act as somethign they'd be tied in fits over is no big deal.
I'm not a huge Sarah Palin fan but between her and Dick Cheney speaking against Obama's idiocy, I'm glad to see conservative individuals fighting back instead of sitting down and being dignified and not getting ruffled. The majority of policy and opinion and indignancy on this side is justified and backed up by facts...our side should be hitting that home more often.
I applaud her for defending her child against an adult's inappropriate comments. If leftists(especially those who are parents) were honest, they'd admit that she is doing exactly what she should be doing in this situation.

When it involves a child, politics is a non-issue.
-
When it involves a child, politics is a non-issue.
Absolutely! Sadly, some on the left are having a hard time understanding that, including big media types like Lauer. Anyone who is a parent can understand her outrage. It has nothing to do with politics and she has every right to defend her child against something she sees as threatening. The politics comes in because we all know why the Matt Lauers and some of the posts we've seen from ABC and DU aren't incredulous and are dismissive of her concerns and that has everything to do with who Sarah Palin is and not because they think it was an appropriate comment.
-
When it involves a child, politics is a non-issue.
...unless a leftie wants to kill one before it's born.
-
I'm still thinking about this one....I'm still somewhere between, "Why did she even acknowledge DUmbass said anything" and "Why hasn't she hopped a plane, flew down to Californicate and whipped his whimpish ass?"
I've at least decided against the , "Just shoot him and a make a rug out of him" line of thought. He's liberal, they're skin is to thin.

This is exactly why I am a Sarah Palin fan because she is not a wimp like most Repubs are. The Democ. put an ass whipping on Bush and the Repubs for many years when it came to answering their critics by use of the media. Silence is not golden in politics. The Repubs need some fighters who are not afraid to speak out and confront Obama and Democ. policies.

Meanwhile at Yahoo, they say the flap is boosting Letterman. Maybe in the short term, but it will do serious and permenant long term damage for Letterman.

Don't know anything about WORLD WIDE PANTS. But if his sponsors are hard pressured, he'll be outta here. He can take his WORLD WIDE PANTS wherever he goes but he won't be HERE...

Agreed. One of GWB's major failings was trying to "rise above" the political infighting and seem more "presidential." He wound up isolating himself from the American people due to his communication problems.
Republicans had, with certain exceptions like Cheney, also followed that philosophy. Hell, even today, Michael Steele isn't in the news all that much and he's the one who's supposedly driving the Republican machine.
Republicans have got to learn to roll up the sleeves, get down in the muck, and get freakin' dirty - and kick the moonbats' asses in the process.

I've been saying that for years.
-
Just compare the response from the left to Don Imus and his "Napped headed Hoes" remark and this Offensive joke by Letterman...their feigned outrage for one and blind acceptance and defense of the other is clearly hypocritical...and nauseating...

Sarah Palin doesn't hold back...and luckily, we do have a voice in Hannity, Levin, Coulter and Rush.

I should've been more clear.
Conservatives have plenty of pundits, that is true. But actual, sitting politicians aren't nearly vocal enough. Palin has spoken more recently about her family concerns at the hand of a left-wing idiot (rightly enough), but she could do a lot more talkin'....
Who else is out there walkin' the walk? Bobby Jindal? Haven't heard much from him lately. Ditto with Rick Perry.
Impassioned speaking, such as I heard out of Jon Voigt recently, is what would help rejuvenate conservatives.
I guess they're still circling the wagons.

Because of Obama's favorable ratings, the Repub. politicians in office are scared to death of him. That will change in the next year; then you will see them come out of the woodworks. For now, they are too concerned about not making too many waves and getting reelected.

I agree with Palin about sexualization with a particular group of people. I've heard of adults who should be way passed liking high schoolers saying they're attracted to Miley Cyrus. That's disgusting.
-

He was funny enough when he followed Carson.
