TOPEKA, Kan. - An anti-abortion group's leader says it is interested in buying the now-closed clinic of slain abortion provider George Tiller.
Tiller's family announced Tuesday that his clinic in Wichita was shutting down permanently, effective immediately. The doctor was shot to death May 31.
Operation Rescue President Troy Newman said he would love to make an offer for the property and that his group had discussed the idea.
Newman's group bought another former abortion clinic in Wichita in 2006 for its headquarters. Newman said Operation Rescue could use more space.
Asked about Newman's comments, Tiller attorney Dan Monnat called them an "irreverent publicity stunt."

Yeah you can picket with pictures of *four dead abortion doctors (there were also two employees, a security guard, and an escort also killed but this DU'er said DOCTORS). They might be able to claim a 5th abortion doctor because one doctor they aren't sure if he was killed because he was an abortion doctor or because he was robbed.
*Note: I am not condoning the killings of abortion doctors but I thought it so ironic that they are all worried about four dead doctors and not the millions upon millions of dead *products of conception*. I also wonder if they are up in arms over the man who killed one abortoin doctor who was sentenced to death and was executed back in 2003, where were all the *save Tookie* types then?
