Democrat or Republican: If you oppose REAL health care reform ......

....... you are not a friend of me.

(Pssssst! The insurers and pill makers and hospital executives or medical equipment executives? Not your friends. Trust me on that.)

1. Is real health care reform to raise taxes and provide a single payer system with price controls on insurers and pill makers and hospital executives and medical equipment companies?

Or what is real health care reform? I read a lot here on DU about real reform but what is it and who pays?

How about price controls on welfare and social security "disability" recipients too?

2. Real Reform: Healthcare Not Warfare

Not tax raising, tax shifting.

How hard is that?

Yeah, how about shifting taxpayers' money back to them?

3. The hard part is telling me the real nitty gritty of how that works.

It is so easy to say what you did. It benefits you but how about those who get hurt?

Can you give more details and not just words?

Basically you want free medical care paid by some one else it seems to me.

Home-run for the county primitive.

4. LOL "free medical care" is a rightwing talking point

"Basically you want free medical care paid by some one else it seems to me."

LOL you sound like Rush Limbaugh.

But you probably know that

Strike-out for the wrong-way primitive.

5. That is your way of ducking out of the question.

Come on, tell me how you are going to pay for your health care. You want to pass the tax burden onto someone else but you want the government to provide the health care.

Can you see why your argument puts people off? Can you see that you will never get what you want by going about it the way you are?

It may be a right wing talking point but it is the truth isn't it?

Unless you are really willing to talk realistically you will be seen as a free loaderand you can understand why people can be against that can't you.

If you can't understand that get the hell out of the debate! You are doing more harm than good.

Home-run again for the Babe Ruth primitive.

I seem to remember when the idiot Clintoons put a cap on what the pharmaceutical companies could make on flue vaccinations back in the nineties, the first thing that happened when we had an epidemic was they ran out. Seems there was no money in it. Hmmmmmm great idea DUmmies!

Just what we need, take the profit out of trying to cure us! Why the hell bother, when you're not gonna make a dime? Another "let them eat cake" episode! DUmmies and their ilk are gonna make us extinct long before we should be.

The county worker leech DUmmie isn't to concerned for the healthcare of it's fellow DUmmies.  If they are a county worker , then they are likely covered by taxpayer funded health care which is better than anything the fed will provide for the masses.

Probably, sir, but I really liked the two home-runs the Babe Ruth primitive hit.

county worker  seems to reasonable to be on the Island for long.  He's asking DUmmies to share at least some responsibility for their insurance.

Meanwhile, the wrongway primitive throws out the old strawman argument of paying for war or healthcare.

6. I don't know anyone who is 'put off' by the argument

Q. Where would you rather spend your tax dollars?

a)Military/occupations/wars

b)Single payer healthcare

Q. When your house is on fire, you call the fire department, they come put out the fire, you don't get a bill. This is funded through money from the citizens. Do you want your healthcare to work the same way?

a) yes

b) no

Pretty simple.

I should amend my statement though: I don't know anyone who is 'put off' by the argument, other than corporate/insurance apologists.
BTW, some areas do bill for the fire department responses, but that is besides the point.  A fire department serves the greater good by preventing fires from spreading house to house, at least they try to.

Two major flaws in the thread:

Quote from:
Stinky The Clown

If you oppose REAL health care reform...

The sparkling husband primitive speaks as though he gets to surmise what is and isn't "REAL health care reform," a decision outside the realm of what any liberal is permitted to determine, and ...

Q. Where would you rather spend your tax dollars?

b)Single payer healthcare

.. the wrongway primitive provides a choice between two options, both of which she is not qualified to determine the proper cost/benefits, thus making her offer a moot question.

Primitives need to stick with items of which they are best qualified to consider among themselves, like whether they are LIMOP or MIHOP or how best to freeload off of others.

Hold on there pardner! If you "cause" a fire, you are likely to get a bill! For instance, if you run into an establishment with your car and the place burns, I guarandamnteeyou You're gonna pay! The only way you don't get a bill is if it's purely accidental on your part.

I know for sure a guy that was burning trash in his back yard and caught the whole damn neighborhood on fire sure as hell got the bill!

Why in the hell should we taxpayers pay when you smoke too much dope and fall down the stairs and break you're pee pee?

DUmmies face a conundrum in life.

Health insurance is societaly bonded with being a member of the workforce.
They wish to break that bond so that having a job is no longer as important.

They hope for free, use daily healthcare to be the vehicle that removes them from the workforce via "disability" yet allows them to live on the public dole without the restrictions of welfare.

Their assertion that items such as roads, police, and firefighters are socialized has to be the most retarded meme they have, and that's saying something.

We have to pay for fire coverage here...so much per year, billed annually.

Frank, I too, applaud Mr. County for his ounce of common sense.   Leftstreet's response was basically to go "LOL."  That is not a very cogent arguement, is it?

Carl, I think you're right about the "disability" golden goose.  You must see cases here in NY, where seemingly fine people never seem to work but are making ends meet nevertheless.  We're opening up a business here in the next week and had to buy disability insurance for everybody.  It even covers pregnancy.  Welcome to New York.

WTF?  Do you think that hospital executives sit around and try to figure out ways to screw the consumer?  You're a ****ing idiot, Stinky, but that goes without saying.  The hospital executives are trying to find ways to provide affordable patient care and fill beds.  It's not an easy process.

Just for full disclosure, I suppose I could be considered a "hospital executive" since I worked as a Financial Planning Analyst for five years at a hospital.

Again, **** you, Stinky.
