Title: Employees Trapped Inside North Carolina Food Plant After Roof Collapse

DEVELOPING: An explosion at a North Carolina food plant led to a roof collapse at the facility, and at least three individuals are trapped inside, officials said.

Twenty employees of the ConAgra Foods plant were hospitalized, suffering from burns and exposure to toxic fumes following the collapse, Garner, N.C. Other employees also suffered burns, according to Williams.

At a news conference Tuesday, officials said three employees were unaccounted for. The plant, which was formerly owned by GoodMark Foods, is most famous for Slim Jim beef jerky products.

TV footage showed multiple parts of the building's roof that had partially collapsed.

The Highway Patrol blocked several nearby roads to keep motorists from the area, and hazardous materials teams were at the scene trying to contain and clean up leaking chemicals, WRAL.com reported.

Several cars was crushed in the collapse.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately known.

Crap on a Cracker. My Niece works for ConAgra out of Omaha where they have their corporate HQ. I'll have to see what she has for news about this.
