Oh my.

The mopinko primitive, the one who had a new front door installed at her palatial digs, but who demanded Old World Craftsmanship at illegal-immigrant under-the-table wages:

well, dr no tests is resorting to blood tests. blech.

been feeling quite shitty, (fibro) and seem to have a shadow of a butterfly appearing on my face. couldn't figure out why it was only one side, till i realized that my left side got exposed to sun while driving. did that a lot last summer. now that it is warm, and i have tried to soak up a little sun (vit d deficient), pink puffiness is blooming on the other side.

so, went to see the rheumie today, and although he said he thinks it is just rosacea, he ordered an antibody panel, and some other goodies. he is extremely averse to doing anything to make me feel like a sick person, or anything that might turn me into a "head case", so, blood tests is a big thing.

this is rheumie #5, and i think it is 3 for lupus, and 2 for something else. he is definitely in the something else side.

i have also been battling acid reflux and maybe related asthma. falling apart at the seams, i am.

tests will take a couple days. ah waiting. so much fun.

No primitives have shown up at this bonfire to commiserate yet.

First of all, what sort of idiot refers to the Rheumatologist as a "Rheumie".  Secondly,  how screwed up do you have to be to have blood tests turn you into a head case, and for your doctor to know about it.  I've visited a rheumatologist because another doctor suspected possible rheumatoid arthritis, and the very first thing she did was order a very broad panel of blood tests to rule out, or confirm, possible diagnoses.  I had 6 vials of blood drawn for tests at her request yesterday, and the time before I think she order something like 10 vials worth of tests.  So far, nothing has popped up, and I don't feel like a sick person, despite having blood tests requested  :whatever:

Such a tale of woe!  Frank, you always mention this door that she got once.  I want you to know, I too, am getting a new door.  It has to be custom made because I live in an historic money pit.  I am not demanding illegal immigrant wages for old world craftsmanship.  I am paying through the freakin nose for old world craftsmanship.   :innocent:

Nothing wrong with that, madam.

It's just a characteristic of the primitives that they demand Nieman-Marcus goods at Dollar General prices.

The primitive had a new front door installed--near the end of the "lousy George Bush economy"--even though the old one was perfectly fine, and if the economy was bad, she shouldn't have wasted money on it.

She boasted how it was a "bargain."

And then the poor guys came to install it, and the primitive was finding fault with everything they did.

If I were a businessman, I wouldn't do business with this primitive; she costs more than it's worth.

Generally, it has been my expeience it is alsmost always the owner's fault when it comes to things not being what they expect. Be it the wrong measurements, or the right wood, or the actual look they were looking for, most fail to convey what they want and then take it out on the contractor.

Happens more often that not.
