Place the youtube url between the ][ in the center of the bbcode shown above.

replace the * with [ and ] respectively

Easier than that, click the YouTube button (http://www.conservativecave.com/Themes/minerva/images/bbc/youtube.gif)and insert the url in it. Sometimes all you need is the part after the "=" sign from the url.

Do you mean link to a utube video - as  Link  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJuqPME--EI)

(url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJuqPME--EI) Link (/url) replacing Round brackets with square of course.

Or embed a utube video  - as

[youtube=425,350]hJuqPME--EI[/youtube]

Click the "YouTube" button up top there on the toolbar and insert the numerical sequence at end of the youtube URL (in this case hJuqPME--EI) into the dialogue box that pops up.

no...I just wanted to see what the button would do...I've been copying and pasting from other posts anytime I wanted to post a video...the button will make it easier for me..

You have to copy the video ID and paste it into the YouTube tag to make it work.

When you reply to a message, there are two rows of buttons and a row of smilies above the dialog box that you type your reply in. The youtube button is on the left side.
