ACAPULCO, Mexico – Mexican soldiers fought a two-hour battle with heavily armed men holed up at a house in an Acapulco hotel zone, killing 15 of the gunmen as Mexican tourist cowered in their rooms nearby.
One soldier was killed and the wounded included three soldiers and three bystanders. Several Mexican tourists were evacuated from small hotels in a faded neighborhood once frequented by Hollywood stars.
When soldiers arrived at the house on a tip, the gunmen opened fire and hurled some 50 grenades, according to an Army colonel, who wore a ski mask to protect his identity as he led reporters on a tour of the scene Sunday. He spoke on condition of anonymity for security reasons.
Several gunmen tried to flee, but crashed their car into a military Hummer that was blocking the gate. At one point, more armed men with grenades arrived by car to reinforce the gunmen in the house, but they died in the shooting, the colonel said.

This can't be true. Personal firearm ownership is illegal in Mexico.

I grew up in Arizona. The last time I was in Mexico was when I was a teen.
I have watched Mexico deteriorate every year. I was 20 when I turned down a trip, telling my friends that I would never feel safe across the border. I'm 51 and Mexico is on the verge of a collapse.
It won't take much for anarchy and criminals warlords to rule. But that will not be Mexico's ultimate fate. No.
Mexico will co communist. They play the Hugo game and call it socialism, But the commies are waiting in the wings. They almost won in the last election.
We WILL have an armed, aggressive enemy state on our border. Mexico is doomed.

Looks like the Dems will finally look stupid for not building that fence after all.

More senseless killings that are the USA's fault.

You know, once, Mexico was a great place to explore. A couple of aquintances explored cave systems there for the first time in human history. Yes, there were bandits, but by comparison, they were harmnless. Most of the people were very friendly and willing to work for reward.
What a horror show Mexico has become.

But it's all the fault of the drug addicted gringos to the north. :uhsure:

Obviously they were members of the NRA fresh from church and all hopped-up on Glenn Beck re-runs.
I grew up in Arizona. The last time I was in Mexico was when I was a teen...
