Even worse for him, after inviting himself to the commemoration and treating the Queen so shabbily (as head of state she should have been there if anyone from Britain was going to be) he got booed by the British veterans.

What was particularly telling about the whole shabby thing was that H.M. the Queen is now the last sole surviving head of state who served in the second world war.

Everybody else is dead.

That was just really bad.

You know Frank, I knew that in the back of my mind but now that you've written it down, it just crystalized for me.

What a damn shame. A horrible damn shame. I cannot imagine snubbing Her Royal Highness in such a manner. Shame on all of them.
