My daughter and I had an 11 mile hike on Saturday. We went up to Larch Mt in the Columbia gorge and were dropped off at the 10 mile marker because the road ahead was closed due to snow. It being may, we went ahead and climbed the 4 miles of road to the trail head. There was a lot of snow up there, but we got through it. then we walked the 6 3/4 miles down to Multnomah falls.
I will post pictures here later
She got back and took a long soak, and on Sunday Morning, she slept in till 10.
She is 12

Here is a picture of the area, or rather an elevations map. We started the hike at the 2400' level, went up to 3800' and then back down again to the river

the path followed the ridge line for quite a ways, then went down to the stream about the 3 mile point.
It is a beautiful hike
