Why not Tax Employers for Uninsured Healthcare Cost

Edited on Sun May-31-09 07:46 PM by FreakinDJ
Those lame ass employers are costing the average family in America over $1000 annually in hidden Uninsured Healthcare cost already. As far as I'm concerned if the only way a business can survive is to pass on thier responsibilities and obligations onto the average American citizen then they have no business being in business

Study: Insured pay 'hidden tax' for uninsured health care

WASHINGTON — The average U.S. family and their employers paid an extra $1,017 in health care premiums last year to compensate for the uninsured, according to a study to be released Thursday by an advocacy group for health care consumers

And Please save the Lame Ass Rush LickBalls logic of "You never tax a business because they only pass on the cost to the consumer" for the other forum. Since they were so RIGHT about "Free Market Policy" I thought we could leave them out of this discussion

Ummm that lame rush talking point happens to be true not to mention paying employees less in order to compensate for the additional costs.

A business provides goods/services that are desired or needed by the population.
It reqiures expense of capital and in return eventually it creates jobs and a profit.

DUmmies have no concept of how even basic economics work so that is why we laugh at your idiocy when you post such stupid tripe.

So instead of being irate that we are footing the bill(employers and individuals) for a good portion of layabouts and illegals, they want to find a way to strain both employers and individuals even more for this by making the hidden cost an official tax? I hate to be so cold, but how about a)leaches take responsibility for themselves or b)let leaches reap the culmination of their poor choices by letting nature takes its course.

I'm not seeing how in the long run that is particularly different than supporting it with income tax revenues.  It'll all be coming out of the same pockets.

First we small business owners oppress the people by actually making them work for wages, now we oppress them for not paying their entire insurance.

Still am maintaining that we just tax the sick and injured more so that they quit using our strained healthcare system.

Business are already taxed for it.  Premiums on Health Insurance is so high because hospital have to charge someone for the "free" care that the un or underinsured get.  You think that a drug company gives out medicine for "Free"?  the cost of this free medicine is passed on to the poeple that can afford to pay for it or the insurance companies.

When will you moonbat econonomics 101 failures learn that there is never a free lunch.

Is it coincidental that we started hearing about the high cost of health care and the high cost of insurance only after we started having lawyers advertise for malpractice cases?   :fuelfire:

Oh, but I like those drugs that have side effects that are worse than the condition they are treating, like something for hay-fever that may cause death, or at least cause sneezing and watery eyes.  :rotf:
