Title: Obama the Fundraiser heads West

LAS VEGAS, May 26 (UPI) -- President Barack Obama heads west Tuesday for a series of fundraisers, including a stop in Las Vegas on behalf of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

The star-studded event -- Bette Midler and Sheryl Crow are scheduled to perform -- shows both Reid's clout and potential vulnerability in the 2010 midterm elections, White House Cheat Sheet said.

The fundraiser for Reid is the fourth such event Obama has done for the Democratic Party. Obama raised money for the Democratic National Committee in March in Washington and Indiana, where he also raised money for four Indiana House of Representatives members.

President Obama can't even sell out a fundraiser in Las Vegas. There are still tickets available and this inlcudes the "cheap seats" for $50. Want to meet the President? Back stage passes are only $1250 and there are plenty of them left as well!!!

The Prez will even be staying overnight at one of those evil casino hotels!

Hi,

What a dork!  He tells American businesses they can't go to Las Vegas and has hurt their economy by doing so......but he can go to Las Vegas.  Once again the double standard prevails....

The governor of Nevada has declined to attend a MEET AND GREET with "the dear leader" when he arrives.

It'll sure be interesting to hear the lefties whine and moan about it and call him a RACIST.

Yup. The Gov. wanted to sit down and have a discussion with the President and the White House declined. They then later invited him to greet the President at the Airport, and the Gov said "no thanks"

I'm curious--how much of OUR tax dollars is this little trip to Vegas gonna run us?

If one little flyby of Manhattan costs $350K and the plane never friggin landed there, just do the math for a few days of SS coverage, fuel, etc., etc., etc., and see how this helps the economy.

Technically, I think Reids campaign is supposed to pay, but we know that won't happen.  I'm sure 0Bama will find some reason excuse as to why he was going to have to be there for "official business", so the tax payers will get the bill.

They did raise 2M for Reid. But how much did it cost the taxpayers?

I believe I read somewhere that The Big Zero is in LA for a fundraiser. He's having dinner with the Hollywierd stars at $32,000.00 a plate. Ron Howard is one of those $32,000.oo a plate guest. I guess Andy didn't do so good with Opie.
