fwiw- neither Allahpundit nor I think the Hopenchange allegory is intentional.

I liked the show when I was a kid. Hope the new version is as fun.

Post by: Duke Nukum on May 21, 2009, 09:21:44 PM: I had read Childhood's End for the first time just a few weeks before I saw the first promo's for the original mini-series back in the 1980's and I was hoping this would be some version of that. But it was pretty good anyway. Seeing some pictures from the original show, those red jumpsuits sure look cheezy today but they seemed to fit in at the time.
