Title: The South is gonna RISE again!
Post by: Rebel on May 20, 2009, 06:52:41 PM
....economically-speaking. :stirpot:

....and it'll happen a lot sooner than the north.

Wanna know the funny thing about "purpose-built cars"? They tend to become civilian cars, I.e. Jeep, Hummer, etc. Not a bad looking car at all. Kinda looks like a BMW.

The Diesel-powered Carbon E7

Jalopnik did a writeup on that car about a month ago... it's completely bad-ass.

Don't know if you guys saw these:

They're specs and comparisons with other police cars, including the Charger Hemi. It blows'em all away. ....and gets 28-30 MPG.

Quote
There are over 425,000 law enforcement vehicles in service in the U.S. Carbon Motors hopes to take that market by storm, offering a vehicle that easily exceeds current vehicles' fuel economy, utility and safety - over 50% of officer injuries take place in their vehicles. Carbon Motors hopes to bring the E7 in around the same price as a fully equipped version of current cruisers. Judging by the reaction local cops had when they saw the E7 yesterday, there's going to be a lot of eager customers.

To be honest, while I'm a HUGE supporter of the police, I could give a rat's ass about sales to the various PD's. I like the commercial potential. Once they go IPO, I'm buyin'. Southern-based, great MPG, safe, fast, powerful, and diesel for longevity. I'm in.

I like'em too...250,000 police duty/miles= about 500,000 or more for people like me.
