It's a Good Time to Be George W. Bush
"Let's face it, this is shaping up as George W. Bush's best month in years. The last time the 43rd president enjoyed this kind of vindication was when a bedraggled Saddam Hussein was pulled from a hole in the ground by American soldiers in 2003. All of Barack Obama's efforts to cast the Bush administration as an immoral stain on American history have not merely collapsed, but collapsed on the heads of Bush's most public and vocal critics.
Here's a non-stammering Nancy Pelosi talking about Bush last July: "God bless him, bless his heart, president of the United States -- a total failure, losing all credibility with the American people on the economy, on the war, on energy, you name the subject."
Don't mind if I do. How about national security? It turns out that support for a criminal investigation of Bush policies yielded an important finding after all: Pelosi's own long-standing agreement with the Bush administration's toughest measures. On that point she's in sync with the rest of the country. A CNN/Opinion Research Corp poll found that Americans approve of the interrogation methods Bush okayed by a margin of 50% to 46%. In other words, she didn't have to go through the condemnation charade to begin with.
President Obama, and the country at large, is finding out that George W. Bush's most controversial policies were not born of ideological delusion, American arrogance, or missionary zeal. They were imperfect but sound (with the exception of our ties to Riyadh) responses to complicated threats. But the validation of the last president runs a very distant second to the most compelling aspect of all this: the drama over CIA interrogations and Guantanamo will hopefully serve to set the administration on a more serious national security course. And it would be helpful if the American public finally dropped moral outrage as the preferred mode of political argumentation."

1. First, before you get pissed off, consider the source and the motives for writing this claptrap...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commentary_ (magazine)
Commentary was founded by the American Jewish Committee in 1945, and bills itself as "America's premier monthly magazine of opinion." Initially a strong voice for liberal anti-communism, the magazine turned left during the early 1960s. Starting in the late 1960s it reversed this leftward shift, eventually becoming the flagship of neoconservatism in the 1970s.
Currently edited by John Podhoretz, its founder and original editor was Elliot E. Cohen. He was succeeded after his death in 1959 by Norman Podhoretz, who served as editor-in-chief until 1995 and is currently the magazine's editor-at-large. Neal Kozodoy was editor between 1995 and January 2009.
The magazine is no longer affiliated with the American Jewish Committee. In 2007, Commentary, Inc., an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit enterprise, became the magazine's publisher.
In January 2007 Commentary launched a new blog contentions.

2. Neocons controlling the national dialog and the media....
Business as usual. After 9 long years of Republican War and lies.... the Dems still have not learned: "how to control public opinion through the use of the 10 second sound bite".

I've never even heard of Commentary Magazine. And then the thread headline of "Are ya pissed off yet today?" This is just further proof to me that the primitives live to find something that makes them angry.

Oh for Heaven's sake, it's just an opinion piece! Do they really feel the need to get "pissed off?" And then hunt through Wikipedia? Why don't they just hang out at National Review and have an aneurism if they love that sort of thing?

An honest psychologist will tell you that the Little Goons' perpetual need to be pissed off stems from their recognition of their intellectual inferiority. The Little Goons can feel like they are on par with the rest of the population only when they are experiencing the intensity of outrage about some perceived injustice within and against their own narrow worldview. It's really very childlike.
When enraged about their ideas of injustice, which is a broad category in Little Goon Land, they feel intelligent - which is a mental "rush" for them. Their intensity to rage about what is above the surface at the moment allows them to forget (while justifying the talent to forget) the truth, reality, logic, facts, and history below the surface - the surface being an arbitrary boundary of their own making.
To rage about the tip of the peak momentarily sticking out above the surface while being able to pretend to forget about the mountain below the surface, and attempting to get as many people as possible to forget about the mountain below the surface, is a key cog in the modern liberal machine. It is part of their functioning mental illness. The Little Goons are too dull to even realize they are a part of it.

I've never even heard of Commentary Magazine.
The Jewish Commentary magazine is one of the minor intellectual publications, much like the Jesuit America magazine. It's been around a while, it's been of various ranges on the ideological spectrum; I think currently it's conservative.
It's a legitimate magazine, not like those the racist babbling sister primitive quotes from.

I'm not convinced they are pissed off. They have yet to demand frog marches and impeachment. :-)

Better to be pissed off than pissed on. But with the DUmmies, both work.

History will look favorably upon President Bush when it comes to the War on Terror.
No amount of lunatic screeching from the left will change that.
Learn to live with it DUmmies.

Unless of course the Appeaser in Chief completely capitulates to his Muslim masters. In that case, history will declare George W. Bush the greatest butcher since Charles Martel.
For thoses of us still literate enough to read history, that is.
