Hello everyone. I am a 24 year old American Hispanic female conservative. I'm frustrated right now with several things going on in our country. As a conservative living in New Mexico it is hard for me to get my views across to friends and family. I don't believe in excessive racial pride the same way they do. I don't believe in using my race as a merit in education and career. I attended a college where professors were constantly bashing whites, and people who have religious beliefs such as Catholics and Protestants. Everytime I try to get my views across to my relatives they call me a racist, sell-out and a self hating Hispanic. I'm happy I found Conservative Cave I will enjoy posting here.

Welcome. I hope you find a home here.
Please don't be frustrated by being levelheaded in a lopsided world. Just thank the Lord for your own good logic and pray for those who fight it.

Well said, LU.
Welcome Shorty.

Welcome! We are actually a pretty diverse lot, but it rarely comes up in conversation because what people think is important, but what they look like isn't...although I have to admit most of us do mock the DU people for being funny-looking when they put up their God-awful photo threads!

Welcome, shorty.
I hope your and your family's political opinions won't create strain at family gatherings. Family should trump politics.

They sometimes do. I believe in personal responsibility and not using race as merit but a lot of my relatives cry racism for a lot of dumb things and they use their race a lot to get what they want in careers and education. I can't stand most of my relatives. I clash a lot with my sister. Her boyfriend is Navajo and he constantly bashes whites. Basically I really have no relative who has the same political beliefs.
