The end of the work week for some of y'all and the day that we get our workers home for a couple of days for the rest of us.
Nice day, if a little grey outside.
Gotta hit the health club this morning and the grocery store afters. I'm going to amble down to the basement and do some work in what I euphemistically call the "Studio" and what everyone else calls "Dad's Scary Crap Corner". :-) I have a ton of stuff to get ready for conventions later in the year. I am going to be starting to turn out commission pieces and custom work in the coming days after I wrap the stuff we will be using for demo games.
It' been a good week.
I had an echocardiagram yesterday and it's going to be Monday before they get the results back to me but the tech said she would be surprised if I got a "bad news" call out of what she saw. My heart appears to be in super shape right now. The fact that they did in fact FIND one might be a surprise to some people.
Seriously, good week all around.

I went to the gym last evening. Well, actually, I used the parking lot of 24-Hour Fitness to turn around. I was lost. It did get my heart pumping.

Doc's visit went well. Might have to see physical therapist for the knees. Blood sugar is good to go.
Thought about working late tonight. Thought better of it. I'm tired of 6-12's. Time for a little Sparky recharge.

Today Las Vegas lays to rest a young police officer that was killed by an under the influance (but not legally drunk) driver while on duty responding to a call.
Officer James Manor was a single father of a little girl.

A sad day for the city.
LAS VEGAS, Nv -- A Metro police officer is dead after a car crash involving a patrol cruiser and a pickup truck early Thursday morning. Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie says 28-year-old Officer James Manor was responding to a report of a domestic dispute when the driver of a pickup truck coming from the opposite direction turned left in front of him on Flamingo Road. Despite what some witnesses have reported, police say they can prove that Manor was responding to the call using his lights and siren.
"It's a sad day for the Metropolitan Police Department. I lost one of my officers," Gillespie said.
It took rescuers more 20 minutes to remove the officer from his car. Manor was pronounced dead after he arrived at UMC.

Beautiful weather this Friday, unfortunately it's not supposed to last through tomorrow, which puts 2 ball games in iffy mode.
