35. OK, I need to be the first one to say it
What about the people who, like good robots, donated on day 1, 2 & 3 of the current drive.
Dunno guys. This seems a bit desperate to me. A bit too much like the principles that good democrats would wish to eschew; tempting with expensive goodies.
There's nothing wrong with offering prizes for donations but this may backfire on you in the future if you encourage the expectation that the final prize is better than the first.
:lmao:
It's a DU Donation Lottery!!!!

43. Just send the email as your entry for the prize contest.
No donation required. If I read the rules right even members of Free Republic could enter!
Mark.
Opps.....he mentioned a bad word! :evillaugh:

This certainly doesn't sound as if no purchase is necessary. Maybe there should be an investigation. This is, after all, DemocratUnderground.com we're talking about. The entire scam has to be illegal, dishonest, and fixed. Someone could go to prison.

In less then 48 business hours, there will be a DUmmie at the methadone clinic with a brand new Acer Aspire One!

More likely with a pawn ticket in its pocket.

I'm sure the serial numbers will be scratched off, pawn shops beware!

You hock the computer, sale the pawn ticket for half price and show up at the methodone clinic when the drugs run out.
-
It's a great little computer that will make it easier to apply for state aid online!

Isn't Acer like, a really old brand?
One of my first computers was an Acer, with a black tower.
But I haven't seen an Acer for ages.

How funny would it be if one of our moles won it? :lmao:

Acer is a big seller at the big box non-union giant WAL MART.
Of course, the comptuers are made in China, by young children, but nothing is too good for Fore-$kinner!

Fixed it for you. :-)

Ok I went and entered, this could be very funny. :-)

I remember Acer had a very good reputation when I was shopping for parts for my current computer back in 2000-2001. I bought a 300W power supply from them. After fixing hundreds of poorly-designed and defective HP laptops, I would be happy to own an Acer.
-
Acer makes some very good business laptops and exceptional gaming laptops. Disregard my last, I was thinking of ASUS. The pos skimmer is giving away is their attempt at a cell phone laptop hybrid. Radio Shack has had them in stock for a while now, e-mail, web browsing and limited office management tools.

Yes at one time Acer was really good, but these are a cheaped up version for kids.

This once again proves how stupid teh DUmmies really are.
Not only do they blindly hand over their TANF/Welfare money to the grovel bot in the beg-a-thons...now $kimmer's gonna screw them over again by giving one (un)lucky DUmmie a computer with Windows Vista on it.

Or more likely, in Skimmer's case, $20 from the trunk of a '97 El Dorado in the parking lot of a Dollar Store.
He may be an Ivy League fellow alum of the Coach, but he's still a scam artist.

My wife's PC is an Acer and she likes it. To each his own.

71. "No purchase or donation is required"... but... "Donate to DU and you will be entered"?????
Seems to be contradictory.
