Title: Report citing veteran extremism is pulled
Post by: epublius on May 14, 2009, 06:31:48 AM
A contentious "Rightwing Extremism" report that warned of military veterans as possible recruits for terrorist attacks against the U.S. was not authorized, has been withdrawn and is being rewritten, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told Capitol Hill lawmakers.

"The wheels came off the wagon because the vetting process was not followed," Ms. Napolitano told the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday.

"The report is no longer out there," she said. "An employee sent it out without authorization."

The report was shared with state and local law enforcement officials nationwide via the department's internal Web site on April 7, angering Republican lawmakers and military veterans who said it unfairly stereotyped veterans.

Washington Times reported that the recent report from Homeland Security should have not gone out.  Right and Air Force 1 did not fly over New York city.

Good Morning,

Now I see where the stupid idiot is being considered for a Supreme Court nomination.  What a friggin joke!  The employee who sent it out was likely her and she could not get it out fast enough to coincide with the tea parties all over the country.

Typical BO BS, she makes a bonehead mistake so she is eligible for promotion?

Have a great weekend,

They SAY the report was pulled. I doubt it.
It details all King O's political opponents as enemies of the state. Liberals want this out there.
It will just be reworded and kept secret from now on.

Pull?  Pull what?  There are no "takebacks" in politics, just as real life.  Nappy might as well be trying to put toothpaste back into the tube.

They made their point.  The directive has gone forth.   Any conservative expressing honest opinion is now a terrorist, any left wing loon tossing a bomb is just a misunderstood defender of free speech

Sorta reminds me of the clinton administrations trial balloon down in Waco.

They pushed the envelope to see what the reaction of the people would be to a commie style takeover.

The one true thing the clinton administration proved is that they were able to kill more AMERICANS on U.S. soil than terrorists killed overseas.
