Title: Pedro Picasso wonders if Cheney knows about impending attacks

The bizarre irony of Cheney's "Torture Tour." He clearly needs to be tortured.

He is, on one hand, saying that we HAD TO torture, because the people we were illegally torturing had valuable information about impending attacks on America.

Then, in the next breath, he claims to have valuable information about impending attacks on America. Attacks the details of which he won't disclose to the Obama administration, yet feels free to discuss on any bullshit talk show willing to give him a warm seat.

What's wrong with this picture?

Does Cheney know something about an impending attack? And he's not talking to the government about it?! Instead he's out on a "Drum Up The Fear" tour. He is either a prime candidate for the very torture he advocates, or he's a traitorous, lying, anti-American war profiteer who is BETTING that the attacks about which he claims to know will happen before the Obama administration discovers what he -- oops, I mean THEY -- are up to.

Either way...sounds like pure criminality to me. I don't understand why this man is still free to walk the streets. I really, really don't.

There's a lot of things Pedro doesn't get, many of which are things young children are able to understand, yet Pedro can't quite rise to their level.

So now Cheney has "valuable information" about an attack that's going to take place of which Dear Leader is unaware.  In fact, he might even be part of the group that's planning to carry it out.  Where does Pedro dream up these conversations haven taken place?  It can't be in his head.

Thank you for bringing that bonfire over, sir.

You know, as my "home page," I have that "search" thing for Pedro Picasso's comments, meaning Pedro Picasso is the first thing I read when I get up in the morning and turn on the computer.

I do it for a pick-me-up laugh in the morning, while waiting for the coffee to get done.

But there's some days Pedro Picasso's so stupid it gets wearisome.

Sounds like an Obot is in denial that his newly minted Messiah/CinC might be exploiting intel gleaned from harsh interrogation techniques but not being honest about that fact with the American people so as to score a few cheap political points with the (sc)atmans of the world.

I would love to see this question at DU:

QUERY:

Cheney claims much of al Qaeda's internal structure, operational capabilities, planning and membership was gleaned using EIT's. That information is being used to this very day to prosecute the on-going "War on Terrorism". Case in point: the very controversial airstrikes into Pakistan are plotted based on information about membership either directly seeking members named during EIT sessions or after having sought out subsequent links based on EIT sessions.

Should the Obama administration disavow all such information so acquired and begin anew or should they continue to exploit this intel as legitmate?

Unless and until Obama refuses to use any "fruit from the poisoned tree" his little PR stunts are disingenuous at best.

And extremely hypocritical in the worst.  Come on, lurking DUmb****s, at least President Bush and Vice President Cheney didn't lie about their zeal to protect America.  The Obamessiah is lying about his desire to protect America . . . or at least putting forward about six different stories, and only one of them is the truth.  You have to decide which one is the truth . . . and you're failing miserably.

One of the stupider theses to ever come down the DU poopchute.  Where would Cheney have obtained such information?  From the institutional military and civilian intelligence apparati, of course.  Were THEY voted out of office?  No.

Ain't that information still floating around in Washington somewhere?

Ah hell, just release all the memos and we'll see what Cheney knows.

Cheney doesn't know but anyone with an above Celsius room temperature IQ would see that Obama's inviting an attack.  My guess, looking at the tin foil roll in the kitchen, is that Obama could use a REAL crisis like another attack on our soil to exploit.  Just sayin, remember how pissed off the Clintons were when Bush got the spotlight on 9/11?
