Ooops, I meant Tampa Bay Rays.
It's easy to be confused about names of obscure professional teams.
New York Yankees give up six home runs in 8-6 loss to Tampa Bay Rays
NEW YORK - Forget about players like Manny Ramirez taking performance enhancing drugs.
The new Yankee Stadium is juiced.
In what has fast become the soundtrack for the House That Ruth Couldn't Afford, balls were flying out at a furious pace at the $1.5 billion palace Thursday night.
Unfortunately for the Bronx faithful, six of the eight home runs came at the expense of the slumping Yankees in an 8-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
"No one's going to feel sorry for us," said Yankees manager Joe Girardi, whose club dropped to 13-15. "It's our job to turn it around.".....
"You can't blame one portion of the club," Girardi said. "Right now we're in a little rut and we need to get out of it."
It's part of the greatness of America's team that they'll get out of it.

Coach, they will get out of it. I say this as a Mets' fan. There is far too much talent on that team (the Yankees) for them not to. And it starts tonight, with the return of
A-Roid A-Rod, Alex Rodriguez. With him in the lineup, the rest of the team will see a few more fastballs. Also, Mark Teixeira and CC Sabathia are notorious for being "slow starters." (So was Johan Santana with the Mets, but if he's "starting slow" with a 4-1 win/loss record, 0.91 ERA and 54 strikeouts, the rest of the National League is going to hate it when he "heats up.")
Also, getting back Brian Bruney for their bullpen will go a long way to keeping leads to get to Mariano Rivera (who didn't do so well last night). They'll come around--it may take a while, but they will.
ETA: A-Rod hit a 3-run HR in his first AB in Baltimore. On the first pitch that Jeremy Guthrie threw to him. And CC Sabathia pitched his second consecutive complete game. (The last one was a loss.)
