Obama Tells Journalists To Stress "Significant" Nature Of Budget Cuts
Posted by Brian Montopoli
CBS NEWS HOTSHEET (http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/05/07/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry4998541.shtml)
EXCERPT:
In remarks on his administration's proposed $17 billion in cuts from the 2010 budget this morning, President Obama was somewhat on the defensive against charges that his cuts don't amount to much considering that next year's total budget amounts to $3.4 trillion.
<<SNIP>>
And he told journalists directly that they should stress the fact that the cuts are "significant" – a surprisingly direct appeal to reporters concerning which angle they should take in their coverage.
"It is important, though, for all of you, as you're writing up these stories, to recognize that $17 billion taken out of our discretionary, non-defense budget, as well as portions of our defense budget, are significant," he said. "They mean something."
END EXCERPT
HE TOLD THE REPORTERS HOW TO REPORT HIS ACTIONS
if a republican city councilman in god damned Fresno tried that, it would be Front Page Above the fold on EVERY damned paper in the English speaking world.

Yep, Obama is in charge. Do you remember when the news media actually used to do their job?
-
Yet there are hundreds of millions of sheeple who still believe the media is objective and fair in their reporting.
-
That would be a lot easier for them to to, if (1) Even the Obama-fellatin press is cynical about whether Congress will pay any heed to him, or just follow their normal plan and stick their favorite plums right back into the budget after he takes a few of them out, and (2) If the cuts were actually significant in the first place.
-
Yes, they are a joke, but what about this administration isn't?. The MSM told the public to vote for him, so they did. The vast majority of the MSM would jump off a cliff if Obama ordered it.

Well, at least the ratings/revenue of the vast majority of the MSM is falling off a cliff, so there is some consolation at least.
-
And I guess Obama farts will soon be a "significant" part of our energy plan.
.....well the MSM will report it as such.

Anyone know how to hack a teleprompter? :uhsure:

Oh I would love to see Obama have an "Anchorman" moment. :rotf:
I have an evil fantasy of slipping Sir Mix-A-Lot lyrics into a speech..
So, In closing I'd like
to say that I like big butts
and I can not lie.
Thank you, and
God Bless.

I'd say more like 60 million that actually think the media is slanted RIGHT.
-
I recall B. Hussein mocked McCain for calling almost the same $ amount that McCain "saved" as insignificant! Yes, B. Hussein has nothing but comtempt for the citizen.
-
Pretty soon, when 0bama gives orders to the press like this, they will snap their heels and say Jawohl!
-
Wonder how long before he creates a Secretary of Media, AKA; Minister of Propaganda, to bring any hold outs in the media into line?

Someone at FR already thought of that. Meet the new Baghdad Bob (Gibbs)

Obama Tells Journalists To Stress "Significant" Nature Of Budget Cuts
Oh, don't worry Lord Zero. Even if the propagandists are too busy poofing yer knob to "stress the significant nature of [your] "budget cuts"" :rotf: , there's a lot of us out here in flyover country that are really stressing your "budget cuts" :lmao: for them. We're really gonna be stressing them when our children and their children come to us and ask why they're slaves to the ****ing government for 10 months out of 12 each year.
Asshole.
-
How exactly are cuts that equate to one tenth of one percent significant?

How are cuts that aren't cuts significant? This budget has the highest deficit spending ever, and he is only cutting some programs while boosting everything else. Yet the media is swallowing line of cutting the budget.

So it would appear...is most of America.

The same logic used to describe "a slashed budget" by dimocrats when they decrease the tax increases by 0.000000001%.

Or when the dimrats accused President Bush of cutting funding for their pet programs, when in reality he just reduced the amount of the increase that they wanted. They also like to call tax cuts loopholes if they're for the "wealthy" or corporations, or spending if they apply to everyone.
-
Dollars to doughnuts (cheap ones) the idjits don't even know what a loophole was originally. And you can "invest" in rthat. Sweet Goodness, DOUBLE SPEAK is alive and well in the Obama Administration, and the MSM simply loves it.
