Manny to be suspended for drug use

Manny Ramirez of the Dodgers will be suspended 50 games today for the use of performance-enhancing drugs, the Los Angeles Times has reported and MLB.com sources have confirmed.

Major League Baseball has not yet made an official announcement.

Posted it in Breaking News.  Whether it belongs there is not up to me, but it is big news.

Pretty sad if true.  Sports radio is all over it since it broke about 30 minutes ago.

Heh!

When I read "Too short to excerpt:" in the OP I thought that meant 50 games was too short a suspention, lol. That is kind of a lot right? Something equivalent to a 4 1/2 to 5 game NFL suspention? (??)

Anyway I hate to see good players fall. What a waste of God given talent and years of work. (i assume he must be good if even I've heard of him... <--- mocking self not baseball)
