I've been thinking about something.
Life rarely presents one with a choice between a "good" thing and a "bad" thing.

Well, Ma and Pa Kettle are in the White House, the Democrat race for the presidency long ago over, and perhaps even forgotten.
But to be bluntly honest, I'd feel a lot safer if the worthier candidate for the Democrat nomination were in the White House.
Yeah, yeah, I know, and of course I disagree with the former First Lady at least 98% of the time, sometimes vigorously so.
But I always had the impression that, no matter the erraticness of her feelings for America and Americans, Hillary Clinton cares more for America and Americans, than does the current president, and hence I'd feel a Hell of a lot safer if she were in the White House, given the absence of a Republican winning it.
So, would you feel safer with Hillary Clinton than Pa Kettle?

To which idiot are you attributing the 'Pa Kettle' appellation? I had thought from some of your previous posts it referred to Reid, but in context it seems more likely you mean Biden or Obama.

Of course it can only be 0bama.
The way he and Ma Kettle bop around, with no grace or class at all.

I said maybe, but I would have to add I'd lean toward Billary. At least they understand capitalism and don't have a "Whitey has kept me down" attitude. OTOH, they would want payback for The Impeached One being impeached. Either way we were doomed, even if McCain had won. They're all libs.

Don't you think, though, that we'd be a tad bit less doomed, with Hillary Clinton in the White House?

Ahh, okay. I do have to say that Harry looks more the part, and Joe could certainly match the prototype in the 'Affable good-natured bungling prevaricator' department.
But by and large, I would feel more secure with Hillary in charge, between the two; the caveat to that being that as the 'Shiny' wears off Obama, I hope he will be correctly perceived as the hard-over polarized figure he is by the centrists of his own party. In that case the GOP would ideally give up wasting time on bipartisan monkeyshines and the Blue Dogs would shy clear of his agenda, which could stymie most of his more witless ideas. Hillary on the other hand could actually end up achieving more of the Democrat social welfare agenda due to her greater effectiveness in getting support from both sides of the aisle.

Honestly, I don't know. Most of the people 0bama appointed where in the Clinton administration, the main thing I guess is 0bama must seem more likable while Hilary is totally unlikable but the press would also go all out for her so I think it would be pretty even.

Clinton over Obama for sure.
- Smaller coat tails
- Shorter honeymoon
- More gridlock in Congress
- Possible repeat of national healthcare failure
- No VP Biden (I take that back, VP Biden is good for our side)
- Impossiblity of a second term based on personality alone (this was the anti-Bush election)
- Less spending (to protect the Billary legacy)
-
safer with Hillary certainly - nobody would let her get away with anything, and she wouldn't have the MSM as deep in her pocket as The One does. In other words, there would still being something that resembles checks and balances.
