I need some help regarding Bush vs. Obama spending.
I need a decent, non-partisan source that will provide some information regarding the spending by the Bush administration and the spending of Obama.
I am arguing with some freepers (surprise) and they keep throwing out the figure of 10 Trillion dollars that Obama has committed to spending. I cannot find this anywhere.
Thanks for your help!
Yeah, let's poll DU for nonpartisan links (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x5600010)
Here it comes...watch this...

1. I don't think the numbers matter...
What matters is that Bush greased the slippery slope to hell, and he broke our economy. There would have been no hope unless Obama at least tried to stimulate the economy again. We're showing signs of pulling out. That's good enough for anyone without an MBA.

Holy PISS. There you have it in black and white: all that liberal yammering about how we couldn't afford this and that during the Bush* years? Well, turns out we could afford it SO well that Obama put out a budget with a deficit larger than all presidents before him COMBINED.
They don't care about the economy, so long as they have someone to blame when Obama finally bankrupts it. Sorry, DUmmies, but Bush* will be a faint memory by the time the shit really hits the fan. The only one there to absorb blame will be the Messiah. One term, guaranteed.

Yeah, I'm a complete and total dumb ass because I don't have an MBA or a PHD or what ever. What a bunch of losers these folks are. I know some folks with Doctorates and Masters who are complete idiots. Really. Not just the "He has book smarts but no common sense" but the "Damn that is one really stupid dude!"
They think you must have a degree to understand that 'O' is spending more money than all the other presidents COMBINED and he is BORROWING the money being spent to ... get this .... PAY OFF A DEBT! Yeah, you must have a college education to understand that.
:whatever:

Well as of last week, the first ten weeks after the porkulus bill was shoved down our throats, only $14.5 billion of the trillion dollars had been spent. Of that, over 95% went to medicaid. No wonder Caterpillar didn't hire but laid off employees. However, if you are in the medical industry or the professionally unemployed you did see some stimulus.

Not down my way, yet. We've frantically cut expenses everywhere possible, including going back to reusable items in places where we'd been using disposables...and we're still only 1/2 way back to breaking even.
