So howcum nobody's suggested Michelle for...

the Court? Or did I miss something?

She's a Harvard lawyer, damn smart, and a black woman who knows the streets-- the perfect fit, right?

And, it would make Orren Hatch's head explode.

Gee, why not? (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=8386213&mesg_id=8386213)

Yes, we need a streetwise Justice. Because real life should always resemble early 90's sitcom pilots that never got made.

I'm sorry, DUmmies, but Michelle Obama is, how you say, incompetent to sit on the highest court in the land. She might have a law degree, but she's clearly let her law chops slide in favor of baring her arms for every slobbering magazine editor in the Western world, and in any case she's only recently proud of her country, anyway, so she probably hasn't kept up on all of those silly laws written by Whitey.

Thanks to John/Robert Kennedy, it is not legal if the president, any president, nominates his wife for anything.  Thank God.

I think such action would at last be considered as going "too far".

since when has illegalities ever stopped a liberal from doing anything. Just look at Obumbler's appointees with tax problems for one example.

Being a groundbreaker in indecency and lawlessness is applauded by liberals.  Being one who brings to light past misdeeds is shunned.  The Nepotism Laws were written and passed by democrats to slience criticism.  Even the sorry POS currently holding the White House hostage would not get a free pass on that one.

Normally that would be correct but since this is obama not allowing him to nominate his wife would be considered racist.

Deval Patrick is on the short list for SCOTUS.

That is not a joke.    We are super seriously screwed.    I would like to take this opportunity to again :bird: the "real conservatives" who stayed home and by default voted in this disaster of a president.

Unfortunately, a whole heck of alot of conservatives believed the BS the MSM spewed out about George W, so they voted for "change" and "hope". Hell, many of them swallowed the crap that is the Bam Bam! Sad but true.

Way too many Americans still rely on the alphabet networks for their info. It's killing America, slow but sure! Until Americans educate themselves politically, we're going to be ****ED!

Until the decisions of those politicians start taking money out of their pockets, that's not going to happen.

Actually it already is. The problem lies with they have been convinced they "owe" it!

Those don't comprise more than 30% of the taxpaying public.  When the tax bill cometh next year, it'll be a ruuuude shock for the others.

Unfortunantly, in my state, the election was decided long before November 4th...I live in California.

There is also the slight problem of her being no more qualified than any other random lawyer in the entire country, of course.

Michelle Obama for SCOTUS.  Seriously, NO.

There.  Fixt.

And FL--as sad as the thought of Deville Patrick on SCOTUS makes me (or frightened, can't decide which yet), keep in mind there are far, far worse out there he could pick as well.
