Snarkle...
“I’ve been laid off,†reads the headline on the blog of cartoonist Ted Rall, president of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. Rall, an editorial cartoonist for Universal Press Syndicate, has served as editor of acquisitions and development at United Media for the past two years.

I hope they deny his unemployment claim. You can't exactly call what he does "work".

He will pop up somewhere else. This is a bump in the road.

a newspaper bailout may be his only hope. If the papers are allowed to fail, then he may just disappear.

That would drive their readership to Zero in nothing flat. I have not seen a more anti-military writer/cartoonist than Ted Rall. I suspect that this could be part of the reason for him being fired. It was okay for him to produce his psychotic rants when President Bush was the CinC, but now it is 0Bama "in charge". An insult to the military could be looked at as an insult to Dear Leader, and that can't be tolerated.
