Sadistic Torture by Sheikh
At another point on the tape, the Sheikh can be seen telling the cameraman to come closer.
"Get closer. Get closer. Get closer. Let his suffering show," the Sheikh says.
Over the course of the tape, Sheikh Issa acts in an increasingly sadistic manner.
He uses an electric cattle prod against the man's testicles and inserts it in his anus.
At another point, as the man wails in pain, the Sheikh pours lighter fluid on the man's testicles and sets them aflame.

I won't watch it either.......who did they torture? an american? Not that it matters. I just can't believe such cruelty is so commonplace on that side of the world. There is a special place in Hell reserved for such people.

I'm wondering if perhaps ABC is throwing our national security orgs a bone by showing what real torture looks like and using that to ecplipse Obama's ridiculous, staged drama.

I can't say I really care particularly. That's why monarchies and dictatorships aren't good things in general, but that's about the limit of the larger lesson from it. Nor is this kind of stuff unique to Moslems, by any means, there are plenty of folks here who would be happy to see the same treatment meted out to child rapists (Not that it would bother me much on a moral level in those circumstances, either).
It never does say what the guy did to piss off the Sheikh so much, which has me wondering. If it had been for something like a religious crime (Blasphemy, homosexuality, adultery, that kind of stuff), I suspect that would have been featured very prominently in the story.

Wow, I think my ex must have taken torture classes with this guy! I watched the whole video. It was pretty rough, but they didn't show it all. The guy getting beat is a grain dealer and the Sheik's brother thinks he has ripped him off on a load of grain worth about 5 thou. They stopped showing anything past the beating with the 2 by 4 with the nail hitting him in the bare ass, and them pouring salt into the wounds. Nasty. The Sheik's bro seemed super into it. He was really strutting it up, and they say on the tape he asked for it to be taped so he could watch it again, later. Tells me that he is into torture porn. Been there, done that, got a divorce.

Torture? There are people in this country that pay good money to have those things done to them so they can enjoy it.

That's easy. By showing this torture and talking about the "Bush torture", they make people think that this is what the US was doing under President Bush. It's the left way of brainwashing the gullible.
