I'm applying to a job that requires a masters degree
It's an online process and the institution has requested I send an information-only copy of my transcript for that masters degree (with the understanding that I supply an official copy if hired).
But, I also have a second masters degree and a PhD.
Should I send those too? I mean, if I send them, the search committee might say, "Oh, oh, 'KansDem' doesn't know how to follow instructions! We shouldn't hire him!" Or, they might think I'm too over qualified.
If I don't send the extra transcripts and am hired, do I eventually provide all official transcripts, thereby risking an accusation of "fraud?" Or would I do well to only provide the one official transcript required for the position?
It's a position in academia, so I would imagine two masters and a PhD might give me an edge over another applicant who has only the one masters. But then, it might be a hindrance. Who knows in this day and age...
Any DUers who have served on college search committees have any advice?
What a ****ing wanker. Rubbing his(?) education in the feces of the unwashable masses.

6. I can see your point as well...
This is the first time I've seen this statement in the position opening:
Required Applicant Documents:
Resume or Curriculum Vitae
Cover Letter
Letter of Reference 1
Letter of Reference 2
Masters or Equivalent Transcript
Optional Applicant Documents:
Teaching Philosophy
Letter of Reference 3
Other Document
Doctorate Transcript
Other Transcript
Associate or Equivalent Transcript
Bachelors or Equivalent Transcript
So the "Required Document" would be the one masters and the "Optional Applicant Documents" would be the second masters and the PhD...
I would have thought the second category would have been "Additional Applicant Documents"
I guess I just never thought of my PhD as "optional..."
for being so smart he(?) sure is a DUmpbphuque.

Not surprising, if you've ever worked around PhDs.
-
What's his major? ....wymins studies? ......Hell, no real man has made a passing grade in that subject since the 9 th grade.
-
can you get a masters in basket weaving?

Hey, now. Be nice.
-
There is no substantial job in the world that wants Masters or PhD transcripts. As a PhD-carrying PhD, people only care that you have the title, not the grades. The DUmmy is applying for a Joe Job.

I know what you mean. Had a neighbor In Tampa who had a PhD in Computer Science. Brilliant guy with a computer, but put a hammer and nail in his hand and he didn't know which did what. But, unlike this KansDem primitive, at least he knew it.

...and the nails with the head on the other end are for the other side of the house....DUmmie.

My thought is that the primitive should send them some of it's posts from DU. That should impress the hell out of them.

I'm not sure which is screaming loudest in this DUmmies post.
A - Braggart.
B - Professional Student.

Just a theory, but I've noticed that a lot of the PhD degrees that I've seen don't list what the PhD was earned in. Maybe that is why they are asking for it, so that they know whether they got a PhD in Womyn's Studies or Engineering ;)

I vote professional student. Two masters and a PhD, he's never known the real world (and probably never been kissed). May I just brag here for a sec that my uncle had a PhD? It was in nuclear physics, and he worked in Los Alamos, so he was doing something good for the world.

Maybe in the private sector, but in government postions they actually do that. Like anybody looking at the transcripts even knows jack about the courses, or even if you got the degree a decade or more ago, but they do it anyway.

I don't know what the PhD is for, I'd guess it would be for liberal studies. :hammer: The whole course took all of 20 minutes. :rotf:
I guarantee one of his Master's is a BS degree.... :-)
