People living in Poverty strike back
People living in poverty, or close to it, have had enough.
Enough with the bullshit pandering and false rebates.
I want a god damn job that pays a living wage.
Are you with me?

I have read that these are true rebates. Read this on Yahoo and it was posted at one time on DU thread. This money can't be paid back. Remember seniors on SS do not pay taxes, so a huge number of people getting these checks have no way to pay them back. By including them, the government states firmly that these are true rebates, not advances on your next tax return.

2. Been out of work since April 1, '02. When you get that job with a living wage I'll take your old one . . .

3. May I ask why?
Don't mean to be rude, but that is an awlot of time of time to be out of work. Is there a medical disability?
Thanks for sharing, if you feel inclined.

7. Job went to china and I'm 60 years old. And no, I didn't "hold out" for that equivalent job. I've been turned down for night manager at several convenience stores, warehouse shelf stocker and counter sales.
All my working career I was in the top 10% of producers but once you pass the 55 year mark you're too expensive to insure and seen as a dead end employee because you're not "hungry" to advance.

8. Sue each and everyone of them. It's illegal to discriminate if the person applying is over 40.

9. Age discrimination is imossible to prove unless you have them on tape telling you you're too old. The attorney handling my BK told me not to bother because it's not possible to prove.
Every interview I went to had over 100 applicants, even the part time warehouse position.
Damn. Anybody know what a "BK" is, that the firey lips primitive refers to?

4. You said a mouthful:
I want a god damn job that pays a living wage.
Those at the top do not share even though their ascendency would have been nil without their workers.

6. Key word is LIVING
I haven't had a raise in three years. In that time, the state where I lived upped the minimum wage, but would my boss raise me even ten cents an hour? Nooooo. And $8 an hour doesn't begin to pay for basics any more.

NICE catch, Frank :rotf: :rotf:
These DUmmies need to write Congress and let them know :rotf:

BK=bankruptcy

I am owed a job because I breathe.

I am owed a job because I breathe.
Exactly...employers should be coming to me with a $20.00hr job begging me to go to work. It's just not fair.. :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

$20 AN HOUR ISN'T ENOUGH. I DEMAND $100 AN HOUR AND A 10 HOUR WORKWEEK. ANYTHING LESS IS SLAVERY! :sarcasm:

What an idiot. It has a perfectly good home that could be producing income for it yet it chooses to let the home ROT rather than use it as an income producing property. Stoopidry knows now boundaries. It probably wouldn't want to have to tell the other DUmmies it has rental property.

Yet as the title states he had another thread earlier about the heating bill in his second unlived in house.
Something isn`t adding up.

Or, here's a novel idea. He could SELL that house that no one is living in which has the same electric bill as the home he is living in. :loser:

What a crock of bullshit, unless this DUmmie lives in and never leaves a particular block in Detroit. Remember the DUmmie the other day who wanted to know where the poverty-stricken are hiding? The DUmmie had help wanted ads in the paper and no one showed up to apply. Not one.
That's the case most every place. Employers are begging for workers and have been for years. In fact, the Taco Quikee near me has been advertising for at least two years trying to staff their store. They start at $8.50 per hour and are targeting "seniors" in the area.

Yes, and every time it is pointed out to them then they scream and yell that the jobs being offered aren't GOOD enough. These folks my my blood pressure go up. I know Frank says the average age over there is in the senior level but I think the average MENTAL age is in the teens.

Of course; that's what Skins's island is.
Spoiled brats who never grew up, even after circa 40 years.

This has been my ananlysis of them all along....that they have the mentality level of a 15 year old.

If that high.
They have the arrogant selfishness of a 15 year old but the attention craving impatience of a 6 year old.
I think another reason for the constant obsession with healthcare, they want someone to be nursing them their entire life and view the medical establishment as that mommy.
The constant need for a (http://209.85.12.232/7417/2/emo/thsmiley_consoling.gif) from someone.
