Don't know if this has been posted or not, but this woman is amazing. Never been kissed, never been married, bullied and ridiculed her entire life....including in the video, and her true beauty comes out.

I saw that video a few days ago... she is truly blessed with an amazing gift. :bow: Seeing Simon Cowell's reaction to her was hilarious (on a different video, so I saw more of what the judges said). Started out looking as if he wasn't expecting much, but when she sang.... his jaw pretty much hit the floor. :p

Susan Boyle is not on American Idol. She auditioned for a like show in Britain. She wouldn't be allowed on AI.
AI has a strict age cut-off of 29.

I know. The point is, most AI singers are horrible anyways compared to her. Same could be said about most pop singers.

She's not what she use to be, and even then she was not as good as this woman. Streisand had an teriffic voice and there are loads of recordings over the last forty-five years to prove it, but she couldn't hold a candle to this Susan Boyle.
Streisand greatly relied on packing her more difficult notes through her nose. If you have ever seriously sang, you know what I mean. It's an effective way to maintain tone, key, etc. during the melodies that require more than you have to offer, but in the end - talent-wise - it's a cop-out.
Susan Boyle, for what I've heard so far, does not ever put it through the nose. She's got the pipes to blow it out the big hole with a pure and clear sound that almost defies the human instrument. Susan has an amazing talent.

Now for Ms. Boyle, I was deeply shocked when I heard her singing voice while watching Fox[y] and Friends yesterday morning. What a voice she has.
Supposedly first place in Britain's version is to meet Prince Chuckles.

And if you have gone through voice training, you will also notice how Susan positions her mouth when she sings certain notes. Only a trained singer would know to do that.
Her "Cry Me A River" shows her ability to sing a blues song dead on.
