Anyone here but me care?
-
Our team missed the playoffs, so... no.
-
I do, a tad, as the Canadiens were my team, until their fans booed the National Anthem in Montreal in '03.
-
I do, since the local team won the Presidents Trophy this year :-)
-
I'm kinda bummed that Detroit is playing Columbus in the first round. It's the first time Columbus has made it to the play offs, so their going to be playing their assess off to not get sent home in the first round.
-
I am since at least the Canucks made it. Unfortunately, the Stars (my other team) didn't. Slackers.
-
Holy crap I wish I was in Detroit tonight. This game is unbelievable.
-

Doesn't mean a whole lot actually...the playoffs are a second season! :-)
-

You can play your ass off all you want but if you don't have the goaltending or the skill....well lets just say Columbus found out after the first period what they are up against! Unless The Red Wings beat themselves....i'm saying Wings in 5! :cheersmate:
-
That first period was awesome though. I was really hoping that Columbus could have kept that momentum up, just because it was so entertaining to watch.
-
Canucks whooped up on St. Louie last night. :hyper:
Up 2-0. Keep it going.
-
Not sure on what to feel about St. Louis. I live here now, so their kinda a home team, even though the only game I've been to was the one I went to see Detroit womp their ass on.
-

I care, but given the fact my team (Ducks) are gonna get killed, not for long.
That being said, I HAVE considered buying a Bruins jersey if only because one of the players shares my last name. Nice coinky-dink. Then I looked at the price. Maybe I'll wait to see if he's on the roster for next year.

I'm kind hoping Anaheim pulls an upset. I wouldn't mind seeing the Sharks just dissapear first round.
-
I don't have a favorite team but enjoy watching the playoffs. Boston put an @ss whipping on Montreal last night. They look unbeatable.
-
Canucks sweep the Blues with an overtime win!
On to round two... against the Wings, more than likely.
 :hyper:
-
Columbus is done! My beloved Wings put on another clinic last night!
-
Yep, Vancouver against the Wings shortly enough. Just gotta seal the deal with Columbus.
-

I bet all of the teams in the west are feeling the way you are. Anaheim's good....good enough to take down the Sharks? Don't think so but that's why they play the games. I think the Sharks will take it in 7.

Damn Straight. Go Sharks! :cheersmate:

Heh heh, I'll bet you do because if you get by the Wings (a big if right there) you'll probably be facing the Sharks.
Oh and if you could, take the series with the Wings for a full seven games please. A tired team facing the Sharks is what I'd like to see in the conference finals. :-)

Nah, we're going for a sweep of the Wings. (Hey, I can dream can't I?)
The Ducks are putting more of a fight than I thought they would though. Tonight should be interesting.
-
Well Vancouver, it be on.
-
Well Vancouver, it be on.
Well, after last nights performance by the Sharks, I doubt the Wings and Canucks will be playing in the 2nd round....yet another great season wasted by piss poor performance in the playoffs.
:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
-
Nah, Wings and Canucks will be paired up. The other game can't be said yet. Blackhawks and Canucks are fighting it out pretty rough. Sharks may still come back. Who knows.
-
How's it feel to have a 3-2 lead in game seven with 1:20 to go and lose the game 3-4....................................... :cheersmate:
Go canes
-
Huh, the bracket I looked at that matched Vancouver/Detroit was wrong.
Round 2 matchups :
Red Wings/Ducks
Canucks/Blackhawks
Bruins/Hurricanes
Penguins/Capitals
-
This'll be interesting. Good shot for the Wings to get revenge for 2004. Here's hoping that it's not a recreation...

Sorry dude! That Presidents Trophy is more of a curse than anything else...God knows it's bit the Wings in the ass on a couple of occasions. Sometimes it's better to just squeak into the playoffs rather than roar into it. You have a huge target on your back when you roar!
-
Round 2 starts tonight with the 'Nucks vs. Hawks in Vancouver. :hyper:
Check the full schedule here. (http://www.nhl.com/ice/schedulebymonth.htm?month=200905)
-
3-0 Canucks with about 2 minutes left in the 2nd. :hyper:
I'm loving this.
-
LETS GO RED WINGS!!!
Damn that was a close game. **** that asshole who did that dirty hit to Hudler. That shit was just like the last time they faced each other in the play offs. Ducks played dirty as shit then, and their doing it again this time.
-
:censored: :banghead: :argh:
-
Yeah. Chicago and Vancouver, just keep the game for game going. Want you guys to be worn out for the next round. :evillaugh:

Nah, we'll go three straight to close out this series to face the Ducks... :fuelfire:
-
Great first game back for Pyatt. Canucks up 2-1. :hyper:
Detroit on the bad side of a 2-1 series against the Ducks. Excellent... :evillaugh:
-
Changed my avatar just for the heck of it. I like the politically incorrect aspect of it. Next up, Chief Wahoo. :evillaugh:

We got so robbed out of that game last night it was un****ing believable. That last goal was good and clean. The refs there where totally in the bag for Anaheim.

I missed the Wings game. What happened?
-
I missed the Wings game. What happened?
Last minute of the game, Osgood was pulled from the net. Wings rushed the goal, swamped it, puck slid under Hiller, and it got knocked into the net. Ref blew his whistle because he couldn't see the puck. Even though it was in the net a good second before he blew the whistle, it still counted as no goal.
There where some real bogus calls made on penalties, or lack there of, as well. Anaheim was playing dirty as shit, and they where barely getting called for it. I saw one guy but a Wing in the face with his stick, and nothing was called. Even AFTER the game ended, three of the Ducks ganged up on a Wing and spent about 10 seconds pounding on him before the Refs got in there to break it up. I really can't stand Anaheim. Their some dirty ****nuts.

Damn, man. I've been watching some clips. Yup, straight robbed.
Ducks are a bunch of hooligans. Of course, Pronger was voted dirtiest player in the league on SI...

I went to a Kings game the other year. Something about LA teams -- they're all assholes. One of our guys got tripped and went face-first into the railing around the wall.
-
No doubt Wings were robbed. They better come out tonight and kick ass. They have to win it tonight then finish it in is six games.
-
Damn, another Wings fan...

They brought the fire tonight. 16 minutes left of the game, and their up 5-2. Hiller actually got pulled. I'm lovin it.
-
This next game in Anaheim is going to be nasty. Wings are going to be playing it hard to seal it up, and Ducks are going to do whatever they can to not get embarrased like they did today.
-
Damn, damn, damn... :bawl:
Oh well, it was a good season.
-
7-5, that was a tough game. They went out fighting at least. I won't be able to stay up to watch the Red Wings game tonight, so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed. I hope they treat Anaheim just like they did at the Joe Louis the other night.
-
I watched part of it, though studying for finals took more of my attention of course, and it was a lot of back and forth scoring in the second and third periods. I think Vancouver just gave up. I've seen a few of the guys in the last couple games that had that "WTF, over?" look. But on to 2009-10. They've got a good team, but it needs some work here and there.
Blackhawks look like a young hungry team. I feel sorry whoever has to face them next round.
-
Detroit will chew them up. Anaheim is a top team. They womped the Sharks. And we've made them our bitch the last couple games. I see Detroit having a very good chance of winning the Cup again this year. I don't see any really strong teams coming from the East. They seem to swing back and forth between playing good, and sucking balls.
-
HELL YEAH! I missed the game unfortunately, but it's always great to see them whoop some ass.
-

Nice accidental goal.
BTW, I'm only sporting the Blackhawks avatar is because it is politically incorrect.
I'll be happy to wager the avatar for the Western Conference finals.
-
Pens take it all.

If there is one thing that this series has taught me is that it does not matter if it's accidental or not. When you have good clean goals taken from you by ass hat refs, then every "accidental" goal counts that much more.

I've even watched some of the games, and I'm not a hockey fan. I did go to one pro game and I'd go again, TV just doesn't do justice of how quickly those guys skate.
I suppose I'll pull for the Carolina Hurricanes, although I still call them the Hartford Whalers. Their win last night was pretty good.
As for who will probably be in the Stanley Cup Final, I'll guess Detroit and Pitt with the Wings taking it.

A lot of people don't realize just how much skill it takes to be a Hockey player. Thats why this is my favorite sport. The level of play that these guys bring to the game is a lot more then you'll find in ANY major professional sport.

And they hit pretty hard too! :-)Jesus! I thought the guy was dead! :o :-)
-
Havlat got the shit knocked outta him there. I was pissed when they rejected Kronwall over that.

Yep! perfectly legal hit! Kronwall lead with his shoulder. Havlat had his head down and paid the price! Kronwall got tossed pretty much because Havlat got knocked unconcious!

I was also upset when I learned they didn't supsend Malkin last night.

Looks like the Stanley Cup will stay in Hockeytown another year.

It's not a sealed deal yet. They led by two last year, and it took them 6 games to pull it off.

The Wings D is making the 1st line for the Pens look like chumps. It will take a lot to win all the home ice games and steal one in Detroit.

I don't doubt the Wings will pull it off. It won't be a sweep though.

Yeah, I bet they take two in Pitt, though. Pens just look punch drunk out there.
-
Wings served up a beatdown tonight.

The next game is going to be ugly! The Pens were thoroughly embarrassed last night. The Wings actually probably could have made it 6,7 or 8 to nothing but pulled back in the third period.
-
Some teams send a message with an elbow, stick or a cheap shot. Other teams send the message via the scoreboard. Guess which teams win the Cup?
Pens will come out with their asses on fire, but the Wings will prevail...again.
-
Yeah, I can't believe how quickly the Penguins lost their compulsure last night. That really shows why the Wings are the better team. Even when it's that stacked against them, they don't try to send any message other then being great sportsman.
Except Hossa... wtf was up with that hit on the goalie last night? Anyone else notice that he didn't really seem like he was all there?
-

Yeah, but he iced his ass. It was worth it for entertainment value alone.
-
That was BS that the game didn't go into OT last night. Scuderi clearly placed his hand on the puck in the crease before the puck ricocheted off his skate.

I never saw his hand touch it.
What I'd call bullshit about that game was the first penalty against Zetterberg for goalie interferance, then the 5 interference penalties that the Penguins made against Detroit that where never called.
Going by that, all the Wings need to do to stay in a powerplay is just push Penguins into Osgood all day long. :whatever:
-
Yeah, that was a ridiculous call.

At about 1:14 he touches it just before Fleury puts his glove over it.
-
Game 7 is tonight! :cheersmate:
-
Got the game on right now.
-
WTF!!! Asshole bowled Osgood right over and a nothing was called?!!?! Someone needs to pull these refs heads out of their ass!
-
Detroit needs to get something going by the end of the 2nd period, IMHO.

The refs certainly aren't doing anything to help them out. They where playing like they had their heads up their ass the second half of that period, but they managed to pull it together that last minute. Here's hoping they can keep that momentum going throughout the third.

Time for the Wings to get something done on the power play.

It's not as bad as Philadelphia, that's for sure.

The Wings didn't show up last night! Unbelievable! How can you not show up for a game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals is beyond me! The fans who were booing during the Penguins celebration need to place their displeasure with the Wings. The Penguins played one hell of a game! My hats off to them! :cheersmate:
