WARNING! Check out this Freeper tax system in beer shit that's floating through the tubes...
Some clown posted this somewhere... if anyone has a nice snarky rebuttal please do share.
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. 'Since you are all such good customers,' he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beers by $20. Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.'
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?' They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before and the first four continued to drink for free, but once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. 'I only got a dollar out of the $20,' declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, 'but he got $10!' 'Yeah, that's right, ‘exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got TEN times more than I!'
'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!'
'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!'
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something very important.... they didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys, girls, journalists, and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes DO get the most benefit from a tax reduction. They also PAY more than the rest. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.

Not a very big thread but it is interesting to note that none of them can answer this email. All they want to do is simply say it is a lie (with no proof as usual) and debate WHO wrote it. I guess because it wasn't written by the person to whom it is attributed then it simply can't be true. :whatever:

Man, the primitives are s-o-o-o-o-o-o-o far behind the times.
That's at least seven years old, and it's been all over the internet.
And the primitives just now discovered it?

Yeah, Frank...I got that e-mail eons ago...and I just got it again. It has recently made its way around the internets again....and TOO funny that the libtards can't actually debunk it with any thought or reason, just make fun of it for existing. Typical libtarded approach :rotf:

Yes, I too have seen this one for a very long time but the first time I saw it it was about the fictional 10 eating in a restaurant. Wonder why the change to the bar?! Easier for DUmp monkeys to understand ya think? :-)

"How Tax Cuts Work"-Unproven!
Summary of the eRumor
This is an attempt to use a story to try to explain the complexity of taxes and tax cuts.
The Truth
The biggest question about this eRumor is not so much whether it's an accurate picture of taxation as to who actually wrote it.
The most recent version that has circulated on the Internet attributes it to David R. Kamerschen, a professor of Economics at the University of Georgia.
On his web site, however, he denies that he wrote it and says he doesn't know who did.
How his name got attached to it, he does not know.
Different version says it was written by another university professor, T. Davies of the University of South Dakota.
He too denies that he wrote it.
So its origins is still a mystery,.
The DUmmies think they have the substance of the message debunked because it appears David R. Kamerschen did not author the piece. The professor did not at the same time deny its truths. He just said he didn't write it.
Some of the other DUmmies go on about how the wealthy guy exploited the poorer and the poorest to achieve wealth, but they don't explain how that bit of socialist thinking applies to the subject at hand.
It other words...Teh TRUTH!!! IT BURNS!!!!

The DUmmies are just pissed cause they ain't getting enough free beer. :cheersmate:

Nah, it's not free beer they want--it's an unlimited supply of free doobage and not having to get a job to pay for it.

Well, those at the DUmp are the only people (can I call them that?) I know who would bitch about getting free stuff. Either they don't get enough or what they get isn't good enough for them but they never say which standard should be used in passing out the freebies.

2. The holes in this tripe are so obvious I wasn't going to waste any time at all,
then I saw the name at the bottom claiming that a professor of economics at a reputable school wrote it. Too weird, so I went to the googly and found that, like the rest of this crap,it is a lie.
In other words; I couldn't debunk anything but the authors name so ... here ya go!!! I'm a frikkin' jeaneeus!!! Worship my google fu peons. /Dummy mode

I, too, am behind the times. I saw it for the first time a few weeks ago. I have been waiting for this to make it's way over there. I only wish I hadn't already burnt my mole so I could go stir the fire.

5. An oldie but a baddie.
Doesn't even mention how the poorest 4 in this microcosm work the hardest, but are paid only one thousandth as much as the rich fellow for their labors, and the rich fellow basically just sits and watches the other guys work...
This guy's handle is pretty accurate. And it still doesn't change the basic accuracy of the piece. No matter how the rich guy got that way, there still isn't enough to pay the bill when he leaves.

^I guess El Pinko has never seen the tax tables. *eyeroll*

The DUmmie has no clue. The people making 8 and 9 dollars an hour are, more than likely, the ones that are constantly watching the clock and out the door as soon at the shift is over. Managers and other people who are successful are the ones working their asses off ands spending 10-12 hours a day at work.

Thanks Kev, WELL SAID!!!
And we're the ones answering for the actions of the 8 and 9 dollar workers.

Democrats v. Republicans: The REAL Tax Picture
After watching a focus group of democrats that watched the democratic debate the other day in Vegas, I literally wanted to puke. For the most part, all of them bashed Bush over and over again on how he is out for his millionaire friends and the big oil companies and he has totally forgotten or disregarded the little guy. So being an ex-IRS employee, I decided to look back on the tax tables to see if there is any truth to what they said and the media keeps stating as fact, "Bush is only out for the rich in this country.
Based on using the actual tax tables (see link below), here are some examples on what the taxes were/are on various amounts of income for both singles and married couples… so let's see if the Bush tax cuts only helped the rich.
http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.html
Taxes under Clinton 1999 Taxes under Bush 2008
Single making 30K – tax $8,400 Single making 30K – tax $4,500
Single making 50K – tax $14,000 Single making 50K – tax $12,500
Single making 75K – tax $23,250 Single making 75K – tax $18,750
Married making 60K – tax $16,800 Married making 60K – tax $9,000
Married making 75K – tax $21,000 Married making 75K – tax $18,750
Married making 125K – tax $38,750 Married making 125K – tax $31,250
If you want to know just how effective the mainstream media is, it is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If any democrat is elected, ALL of them say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie the Sting with Paul Newman, you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened. Now this is effective (maybe not honest) marketing or maybe a better word is brain washing.
SUCK ON THAT DUMMIES!

Great find -- look at the 2 I highlighted and calculated. These are the "tax cuts for the rich" that billary and hussein want to take away.

Talk about voting against your own interests. If Bush had not been the biggest spender since LBJ our fiscal situation would be positive.

Who cares if they go overseas. There's more beer left here for everyone to drink.
If they go overseas, who's going to pay for all that "beer"?

I know a "rich" couple who leave before the sun rises and get home long after it has set. They don't get to use their swimming pool too much.

And they may have spent many years doing that, on up into middle-age and beyond - working long hours, missing out on time with their families, sacrificing, delaying gratification, taking risks with their life saving, etc. Then, when they've finally achieved success and security for themselves and their families, along comes the moonbat brigade declaring it as "unfair" and demanding government take those fruits at the point of a gun and redistribute it to their sorry asses. That's what pisses me off, the sheer gall of it. The sense of entitlement to the benefits of someone else's labor.
I'll go way out of my way to help someone in need, just don't get up in my face demanding what I made through my own sweat and sacrifice or think you can assume enough moral high ground to force me to be "charitable". I can make that decision without some hypocritical liberal's input, thank you very much.

I know this will probably sound dumb to some but in America, if you don't like being poor and smelling like sour milk, you can get rich. There are all kinds of books that tell about people who started with nothing, some where practically homeless at points in their lives and they succeeded.
Some rich people lost it all and then made it all back.
If one person can go from poverty to wealth, then another can. And another. And another.
It used to be thought that running the mile under four minutes was impossible. Then someone did it. Then a whole bunch of someone's did it.
Was it impossible because Wheaties hadn't been invented yet? Or is it more likely that it was thought to be impossible so the belief that it was impossible is what made it impossible?
Most DUmmies believe they will never be rich. And so they wont. And it isn't Asterisk or the Republicans keeping them poor. It is their own poor belief system.
If I was poor, I would put my energy into working my way out of being poor instead of waisting energy blaming others for it.
The very act of blaming others for one's problems is the very proof that one is a looser and will probably have problems for a very long time.

But you see Duke, the DUmmies and those of their ilk believe there is a finite pile of money and when the pile of money is gone then those who got to the money pile FIRST (because they got up early and ran faster than the DUmmies can .....) owe those who did not run hard enough and fast enough, a piece of the pile of money. It is really messed up thinking but there it is.

Another thing you must include in any discussion of DUmmie vs. Economics is that the childlike DUmmie brain thinks all wealth exists only in the form of currency. They believe "the rich" have all their "riches" stacked in a vault locked away from the poor and downtrodden. DUmmie logic wants us to believe "the rich" do not participate in the daily economy of the USA. It is only the poor and downtrodden who get out of bed every morning to be shackled to the grindstones and wheels which move this nation forward.
