Just doesn't have the same "Vibe" as Friday the 13th, does it? LOL
Last day of Spring break..woohoo! Baseball game tonight.
Cold weather coming back in tomorrow and Wednesday, but then they say it should get back to the 60's...I sure hope so!

It was cold this morning!!!! Brrrrrrr.........come on warm weather.
Boss is out of town for a few days but somehow I have MORE work. Ugh.....

I'll confine my medical whining to the Cryin In Mah Beer forum. Suffice to say I'm not feeling too hot. :(
Everybody is home. The girls got in yesterday around 5 and we had a Rib Roast for Easter dinner which came out of the oven at 7:30 due to me falling asleep and not getting it started on time yesterday. :p
Kids are back to school today and SWMBOIAT is working at home today so we got to share some coffee and some time together today for the first time in a week.

They'll be picking up the pieces from the Good Friday tornado for quite some time:

More severe weather is forecast for this afternoon/evening.

Pictures like that make my blood run cold. God help those people....

Not really, but you still need to watch out for Jason's brother, Ted Voorhees. He wears a fake nose and mustache and runs around with a clipboard and staplegun, and flips the light switch on and off real fast to "terrorize" the accounting department, which was recently reopened after being closed down several months for renovation.

My daughter got her driver's license today. The world beware!

I never would have guessed that you were old enough to have a daughter that old.

It's been worse than a Friday the 13th today....
I've zapped 4 reports. 2 were completed. :censored: :censored: :censored:
My son called me yesterday to tell me his step brother was in visiting the parents (my ex and wife #3) for Easter....and late in the afternoon he had a severe seizure and was ambulanced to the hospital. (where the ex is on staff) Seems he was sobering up....he hadn't had a drink since early morning Saturday. He's about 22-23 yrs old. The parents finally realized the kid has a severe drinking problem. Gee....I've known he had a problem for a couple of years. Long story short...they found out, that my son told me. And they went balistic!!! Afraid people will find out! Hello....he's in a town of less than 50,000 people, with his stepfather on staff of the hospital he's checked into...and they thought no one would know or talk because of HIPPA laws! So, my son has called 3 times today over how mad they are at him(my son) and he's worried his stepbrother is going to die.
And a bunch other "little shit" stuff has happened..... :fuelfire:
my "happy pill" is not working.... :(

Hey Lug...did you get bad weather this afternoon?
Supposedly we've been going to get thunderboomers, but they have yet to show up. We were also under a high wind watch...but that really didn't happen either.....yet.

Atlanta and Savannah were under some nasty storms this morning and again this afternoon. I should know, I was sandwiched between two semis on I-285 East while traffic was at a complete standstill for an hour. Accident was off to the side, but ALL TRAFFIC on our side was stopped. :banghead: I don't like being between two semis... made me have a panic attack this morning, but I did have a bottle of "happy" pills with me, so I took one to calm down (anti-anxiety medication ). :p

I may be in Koxville tomorrow if I can't find a salvageable car in town tomorrow. Yay, road trip. I'm just glad this stupid day is nearly over and I don't have to work tomorrow. So tired of dealing with illiterate ****ing dumbasses.
Guess I'll go home and have a beer or something.

Yeah, we were in a tornado watch. The rain lasted for about 15 mins. :whatever:
It's come and gone several times since then, but nothing severe. I'm sure the folks in Murfreesboro jump with every rumble though.

Hey Chris...if you come in, let me know...I have a meeting at 10 that should last about an hour, another one at 1 that will be about an hour. I'll be out and about in between and after.

I'll try to get up early in case I need to drive over there. I'll have to call the Pick-A-Part yard and ask them if they'll let me slice up one of their cars. I'll probably be in the area later in the afternoon (Rutledge Pike).
-
If I don't have to leave town tomorrow, I might go to a ball game. I need some cheap entertainment.

I think it was her youngest. :fuelfire: :-)

You're home early.

How much money have you burned up at casinos since you moved to Nevada? And is the six dollar prime rib really six dollars? :lmao:

If I keep my head out of my ass, I do pretty well...
Chris, you should come visit some time.
This week I am looking forward to having a cold drink with a friend from CC/CU.

Deb I missed your posts! I'm so sorry....prayers indeed.

Deb I missed your posts! I'm so sorry....prayers indeed.
Thanks all for the prayers....I will relay them to my son to let him know that people are praying for his step brother. They are pretty close.
My son called last night after he left the hospital. J is going to stay in the hospital for another day or two then going to a detox unit. He should be there about 10 days, he is then supposed to be going to a residential drug/alcohol rehab facility. He has some damage to his liver and pancreas, that may or may not recover. He was at the point were his liver was not even processing the alcohol because it was so saturated. Hopefully he was scared enough by the seizure to realize that he cannot drink again. The drs told him it will kill him if he does. However, he has to want to quit, he can't be forced to quit. He told T last night that he thought he had it under control. T told him he obviously didn't. This is coming from my child who has also had his issues with alcohol.
I truly believe that alcoholism is a hereditary problem. My dad was a highly functioning, though quite violent alcoholic. While I drank like most college kids...too much...I have always been very conscious when my alcohol consumption became too frequent for my comfort and it has always ripped my intestional tract when I over indulged. My half brother drank alot in college too, but has been very careful as an adult. My half sister, may have a bit of a problem. My son has had a problem, but age and a DUI and having to attend AA as punishment, made him wake up. My ex's mother was, his brother had a severe drug problem, yet he doesn't (he has other issues ::)). His wife is a recovering alcoholic(sober 8 yrs...) and her son has a problem but her daughter doesn't. My sweet of heart's mother did....and he has now been sober 3 yrs ()
I think if many people really looked at their families...in harsh light...it might help us predict that a problem could easily develop with our children. I honestly thought that because of our family histories that they were witness to...my children would be smart enough to not fall into the trap of addiction. Instead....I should have been hyper-alert and vigilant. It's never been an issue for my daughter. For my ex's niece it has been, but not for her brother.
It doesn't seem to be gender specific...it has to be a chemical thing within the body....and it certainly doesn't have anything to do with economic status or amount of/lack of education....like all those statisticians try to tell us it is. If that was the case...not one of those individuals would ever have had a problem!
I mention all of this because so many here have younger children. If what I have said helps protect just one child....then that's a good thing.

Totally agree with the last three paragraphs.
