Title: Good Friday
Post by: Flame on April 10, 2009, 07:42:13 AM
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Supposed to be rainy today, but warm, so we'll see how the day pans out.  We are heading to Baltimore to explore for a bit and pick the kiddo up at the airport.

A day to remember the Ultimate Blessings for humanity:  The Promise, Forgiveness, and Salvation.

Happy Good Friday.  It is a day for humble and reverent praise to Our Lord.   :innocent:

And I suppose it's a holiday, so it's beer-thirty for you heathens.

Sunny, but coll.  Might get up to 58 today.  Looked at the weather and saw that it's going to freeze tonight and tomorrow night, so no planting this weekend.  Who is Algore and where is this global warming he speaks of?  Tomorrow and Sunday are forecast for the mid-40's.

Oh well, at least I can do some errands and clean up the house a bit before I get my TV back after 3 MONTHS of it being broke.  Yay!

We've already had heavy thunderstorms go through....now supposed to have a break for a bit, get up into the low 70's...to gear up for severe storms late this afternoon and this evening. Sunny tomorrow and Sunday.

Working on reports and heading to Mass at noon....always seems fitting that it should rain and storm on Good Friday.

Cold, windy, rainy, and a dusting of snow in the mountains.

Good friday, is good. I helped get a rapist off the streets. I was the foreman.

Eeks  :(  Poor girl.  Did she really seem to have the mental capacity of a seven year old?  That's disturbing, if true, that her guardians were letting her date

Well I've done a whole lot of nothing already today. Kids are home and we were just supposed to do home stuff like color eggs and cook since it's rainy today after a gorgeous day yesterday. We have to get moving though and get a few things from the store so looks like it's time to get out of our pjs and get moving. My oldest is actually having what we call her 'official' birthday on sunday too(she was born on easter in 98 so this is the first bday since then that it's on the actual holiday :-) so we are planning for that too--she got a cell phone already in lieu of a party--settle down folks, we have guards in place on the usage and so far she's used a grand total this week of 5 minutes to call her dad and I since she knows she can't call anyone else to chit chat :lmao: or she will lose the phone as quick as she got it--unlimited text though--seems to be what the kids use it for mostly anyhow)

And of course workout is still looming at 530 today  Oh well, see you peeps around!

Tis good to be off work today.  I needed the break, plus my son is home.

I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend.

While many consider old Watchman Nee and Witness Lee to be heretics of the most dangerous sort.  I honestly find solace and great admiration of the devotion to God which Nee has shown.  He may not have the theology all in order, according to most, but I don't think one can't fault his heart.

There was no doubt that her mental capabilities were that of a child.
She is allowed to date, but she has had her tubes tied, because it's very obvious she has no clue what the ramifications of having sex are.
At times she lived "alone" but has someone that handles her SS checks.
I believe her "boyfriend" (not Nunley) was also disabled, and lives in a group home.
It's very sad to see her, as she's a pretty girl, but the accident when she was seven has left her as she was at that time (roughly 7 years old). She had to be told that the DA refered to her as "pretty" in closing arguements before she showed any reaction. She smiled slightly.
Nunley is nothing more than an opportunist.

Weather is extremely horrible in Chris's and Lug-nut's area. I have an idea where they are but not specific, but my local channel is showing the damage to theirs. :(

The bad weather is moving this way, but they are still having some rain.

Say prayers for them and their families.....

The nasty weather has already passed.  It's near Athens right now.

Murfreesboro got hit by a couple tornados.  It's a mess down there. :(

I can not recall a Good Friday that didn't bring rain....  I wish I could make the stations of the cross at my church today, but I'm working.

Mike got money today. Now I'm about to go to the liquor store because I need to get drunk. I'm thinking vodka. Anyone want to help me kill a bottle?

I got half a case of beer and half a bottle of Bailey's at home.  But I'm not at home. :bs:

I picked up some lousy sirloin steaks the other day.  They're not worth grilling, so I'm going to throw them in the pot for stew in a bit.

I got to drive through a lovely severe thunderstorm and was in an area labeled with a tornado WARNING! :censored: I should have NOT taken that extra work shift.  :(   The rain was falling so hard, traffic dropped to about 10 mph on I-75 between Macon and Atlanta, and everyone had their emergency lights on (makes it so much easier to see the other vehicles if they have theirs flashing).  Luckily, no hail, as was reported earlier.

Now, I'm at home ready to rest and enjoy Easter with my family.  :cheersmate:
