OSHKOSH, Wis., Apr. 8, 2009

(AP) Here's a story Winnebago County deputies could relish. A semitrailer overturned Monday morning on a highway near Oshkosh, spilling an estimated 20 tons of hot dogs. The spill caused traffic to be restricted to a single lane for about seven hours.

Deputies said the Kraft Foods truck was driven by Ricky Smith of Cottage Grove. He told the sheriff's department he was pulling off to the shoulder to take care of something in his cab when he hit gravel and the truck tipped.

Authorities said Smith suffered minor injuries.

.. clean up was moved along quickly after they set up an extreme eating contest booth right on the side of the highway

Yes, it was.....but they really cried over the loss of the larger corn dogs.
