See that? It's a fighter jet.
President Obama all but declared victory in Iraq Tuesday, telling U.S. troops during a surprise visit to Camp Victory that they had given the Arab nation an opportunity to stand on its own as a democratic country. That, he said, is an extraordinary achievement.
"Here's a couple things I want to say. Number one, thank you," the president bellowed as he addressed troops at a stopover at the tail end of a marathon overseas trip.
Obama said the next 18 months are critical to the mission. U.S. troops are expected to be out of the country by the end of 2010.
"You've kept your eyes focused on just doing your job and because of that, every mission that's been assigned, from getting rid of Saddam to reducing violence to stabilizing the country to facilitating elections, you have given Iraq the opportunity to stand on its own as a democratic country. That is an extraordinary achievement and for that you have the thanks of the American people," he said.

0Bama: rewriting history one lie at a time. He was against the surge before he was against the surge before he admitted it was a success. :hammer:

And is now trying to take credit for it--see, everyone? All we had to do to win in Iraq was get me into office....
Asshat.

Shouldn't the headline have been:
Hussein Returns to Baghdad

....and the troops were thinking about giving him a big

Hi,
I caught a short blurb on the subject this morning as I was busy with something else. When BO was speaking to the troops I found it interesting to watch their faces. There was one black guy who was applauding but the rest were stone-faced.
Knowing a few folks in the military, and knowing how the military feels about him, one would surmise they probably were not too happy to see him. It is a tough situation for those kids in uniform. Unlike the rest of us who can speak up, they have to bow allegiance or their career is over.

Suddenly DU loves the troops again.
In one visit Obama was able to rehabilitate hundreds of thousands of mindless, baby-killing Nazi-esque war criminals and make them the pride of liberals everywhere.

B.O. will claim victory in Iraq and blame Bush for Afghanistan, Pakistan, North Korea, Russia, Sudan........you get the picture. I fear the United States will be a laughing stock by the time B.O. leaves office. I cannot believe anything that this empty suit believes or says. :bird:

Amazing how a few days ago he was calling Iraq a "mistake" and a "bad war" but as soon as he steps foot in Iraq, he's singing the praises of the troops.
Does he think that 1--we're all this stupid, 2--the media is going to cover that well for him?

Yes, and yes. For the first, his ego allows nothing less. For the second, the media has proven itself.

Of course, Bunny.
The photo blurb I saw, showed every beaming black person they could get their hands on, standing behind B.O., all except for one guy who looked kinda Hispanic, giving him a look that I interpreted as sceptical, dubious, and glaring.

The media shines his knob every chance they get...and they did so as well this time...Only the usual big crowd was NOT shown...only a select crowd in the front who were snapping pics and waving.

Just a reminder of his real feelings:
Asked whether he would move U.S. troops out of Iraq to better fight terrorism elsewhere, he brought up Afghanistan and said, "We've got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we're not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous pressure over there."

Don't forget this little nugget:
Obama also repeated his criticism of lobbyists, calling them the enemy and saying their donations are corrupt.
How many (former) lobbyists work for Barry now?
