It's SUPPOSED to be nice here today (mid 60's) but I havent seen any sun yet!
Have an IEP meeting at the school today for my youngest...formality, mostly...its for the gifted program.
Both boys have baseball, and daughter has dance tonight.
Tomorrow I take my daughter into BWI and ship her off to Florida for a week. It's her first solo trip, with no adult supervision on the trip down there. Not worried about her doing anything wrong, just worry about the other psychos out there. Once she's there, she's staying with her best friend and family.
Spring break next week. Mr Flame is on vacation. And we have 5 days of baseball practice!

I turn 24 today. :cheersmate: Some of my co-workers are going to take me out for lunch. Other than that, I don't expect much exciting to happen at work. They've blocked Pandora radio on our work computers, which is annoying, now I have to remember to bring my ipod to listen to music.

Almost Friday - 'bout damn' time! Long week so far, one of my colleagues retired and I have to pick up most of his workload (Likely to be three months or so until they fill the job, and that's a minimum), as well as covering the branch chief's desk (He's on travel all week).

24? I barely remember 24! You are a baby! :-) Hope your day is great though!

:lmao: so true! Happy Birthday CR! Hope you enjoy your day :)

24th birthday? Jesus H. Tapdancin christ...I was on my THIRD Westpac at that day.
So where's all this beautiful weather we keep getting promised? I've still got patches of snow left in the yard, dammit!

Strong wind gusts are expected, with a high of 82.
This is my busy week at work, and I expect to be asked to come in early. When people are freaking out due to heavy sales volumne, I am usually the glue that holds it all together.
Sales for March were up 7% compared to last year. Ranking my location #1 & #5 on two different reports...that is out of about 50 locations. That makes my paycheck smile. Damn economy!! :-)
I hope everyone has a great day!

Already 65 and sunny here and I'm going out to plant some of the flowery stuff I bought last weekend, since it's been cool and rainy ever since....wicked thunderstorms are predicted for this evening and tonight.
My big house sale is supposed to close at 4:30 this afternoon....I'm really tense...if it could go wrong on this deal ...it has. My buyer pranked me big time on it yesterday. A huge cashier's check for the deposit was typed by a northern KY bank per directions on a fax...and the bank made the check out incorrectly (this was not rocket science!!!) check had to go back by overnight FedEx and the funds wired to the title company yesterday. After receiving an email that it was done...my buyer texted me about an hour later, that the wire instructions (as written out by the bank!) were incorrect and the monies when to a different city!!! I had just eaten a big Mac and almost :puke:.....just as I was calling the bank to bitch them out.....I get a text from my buyer....."April Fool!". He then called to check and see if I was still breathing! After I threatened to :hammer: and he's ....we both :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: and now we're keeping fingers and toes crossed that nothing else goes wrong.
I love my job.... :innocent:

The weather-wonks around here are :ohnoes: since yesterday. We may get severe weather this afternoon/evening.

Yep, we're just babies around here. (I turn a quarter century in a couple months :( ). :lmao: Again, Happy Birthday! :cheersmate:
I thought Savannah was due for some nice weather too... apparently not! :hammer: More rain, more getting soaked on the way to class and lunch.

I have a T-Shirt that is older than both of you. :old:

I hit that mark in 9 days.
Holy crap, it got windy around here. But it's nice and cool, which I like. Kind of funny seeing people walking around bundled up like it's December when I'm in short sleeves.

I'm so ready for the weekend...well sorta. I have a presentation next Thursday and there's only three in the group (including me). One guy plays baseball and will be gone all weekend and the other guy is kinda...how do I say this nicely...lazy. So this weekend I'll be working on it. The professor wants something "fun and interesting" and not just a Power Point, so I already hate it. We're comparing Jack Miller (founder and former CEO of Quills) to Mark Cuban. I'm thinking we could do something like a game show. I haven't figured it out all the way.
But in most excellent news, I didn't really study for my accounting exam last Tuesday, yet still got a 90 on it. :-)

Super-nasty weather headed this way... I hope the power stays on. I think I forgot to shave today.
I live a fascinating life.

While I was at the bank, I noticed that in the parking lot across from it, the roof of this carport had fallen over b/c of the wind (I assume). This crazy wind is blowing my little Beetle all over the road!

I was going to get out of the dorms for a while, but I figure my car would probably go airborne. I was supposed to work on some photography today too, but no way am I putting up a tripod in this wind.
Had a bit of "fun" a little while ago. Got an email from the school that my last payment was declined. I go over to the bursars ready to go "What the hell?," because I know I have the money in my account. Turns out, instead of my checking account number, I accidentally put in my credit card number. :thatsright:

:( How much more of this can Savannah take?! Don't get me wrong, the rain has been good for my allergies, but Jesus...

We're currently in that armpit between Crossville and Cookeville. The rain has stopped for now. I'm probably going to have to drive home in the other half of that mess. The wind blew over a couple of tractor trailers. If you're on 40 right now, you're probably screwed.

I went out a little while ago to grab something to eat... could hardly see the lines on the road, so I drove much more slowly. Hence why I rarely drive at night to begin with, as the rain makes it a lot worse.
Be careful out there...

Since traffic's not a concern on backshift, I take the "long" way to/from work.
It adds an extra 5-10 minutes (not much in the scheme of a 50-60 minute commute), but I avoid all the tolls. That way, I've saved almost $20 so far this week. Yay! And as far as gas, shorter trip at faster speed balances out the longer drive at lower speeds, so that's pretty much a wash.
-
I'm here for another hour. I'm glad it's less than four miles to my house.
-
Hasn't gotten here yet....just some rain....still expected to get here...
My closing didn't happen this afternoon.....scheduled for 11:30 in the morning....lender promises it will close then.....oh please ..oh please...oh please....
-
I'm home from work. I cleaned out the poo-poo bin for the kitties and Monty promptly pooped in it. :whatever:
-
This pathetic woman I work with called an ambulance to pick her up at work today. I guess she didn't fee like putting in eight hours. :whatever:
I didn't get to see it, but I heard about it. Still funny.

yikes.
Dammit!! My car has another leak somewhere. There was a ginormous puddle of water on my driver's side floor when I got out to my car. I pulled the carpet out, so it's only painted metal and some rust-proofing down there. I didn't notice it until I heard it sloshing around.
Argjh.

We all have little nicknames for it. :-)

Gee, that sounds familiar. I've got two of them who look at me an say, "Ah, you're home. Let me show you what I've done with the food that USED to be in that now empty bowl which I'll be discussing with you right after I claw the couch, and then do THIS!"
