Drilling with a giant holesaw and sticking PVC, through my living room wall
(http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f144/Chesterfield313/Aquarium/Aqua10.jpg)
Some acrylic cut to shape, siliconed in place, a diamond coated hole saw grinding through the side.

More PVC, quick disconnects, toss in an ultra quiet pump.

This better end with whiskey/vodka/gin or I want my 38 seconds back.

Vodka was actually fundamental ingredient. It's not just to sustain our lives, but it's great for feeding bacteria in an aquarium :cheersmate:

Very cool! :)

That's cool. I'll have to take some pictures of my stepdad's aquariums next time I'm over there. He has a couple salt-water ones and a rainforest terrarium with a bunch of miniature colored frogs.
What is that gunk coming out of the last picture?

Oh, how lovely! :)

Nice! :cheersmate: I'd love building a nicely set up vivarium/paludarium for poison dart frogs. Unfortunately, between a fish tank and a parrot, I just don't have the room for another set up.
That gunk is skim-mate from a protein skimmer, which is pretty much the most quintessential tool for maintaining a healthy saltwater aquarium. It pulls out dissolved organic waste from the water column by way of foam fractionation, before it breaks down into aquarium pollution.

The frogs are neat. They're only about the size of your fingernail.

Can't you just go to the seafood section and order stuff like normal people?
;)

And here I thought this was the beginnings of some super-cooled computer project. :(

Adhesives, Silicone, PVC, Dewalt Drill, and Alcohol
And here I thought we were talking about Schade...

It's true, I built Schade in my basement during the eighties, along with a few of the other CC gals. A movie was made about it (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090305/) actually. Sadly do to some legal shenanigans involving the Swiss, a "Groat", and things best left in the dark. We had to pretend that wasn't the case, and made up a story about her being from some quasi-liberal Northern State instead. Sigh, like anyone believes that :whatever:
