I am currently running OS X Version 10.4.11 on a year or so old Apple iMac. When I turn Airport On, Create a Network, and set a WEP password to protect it. Why is it that when I connect to the network via my laptop, I am unable to access the internet? It's a PC laptop, but I wouldn't think that would matter.
Am I missing a step or some other IT id10t error ::) :thatsright:

Nevermind, I figured it out, I think :cheersmate:

Just for whoever else visits, to explain what I think the problem is, Apple wep passwords can be any length. So when you set up your base station for a mac, you can set up a password that works for you.
However, the windows folks have to use a password of 13 characters, no less, no more. So if you want a universal system, you have to do according to the windows spec.
