Title: Earliest. Sunday. Thread. EVAR.
Post by: NHSparky on March 29, 2009, 01:20:24 AM
2:15 AM.  Dog woke me up, and now I can't get back to sleep (see Saturday thread).

No plans today aside from BBQing dead mammals and consuming several beers as I will have the pager all next week and cannot imbibe due to being on call.

UNH won yesterday, and will face Boston University this afternoon for the right to go to the "Frozen Four" and face Vermont in DC April 9th.

Now I hope I can just get back to sleep before 6 am.

As I remarked elsewhere I just sat through "Australia" with my girls.

And I want 165 min of my life back and Nicolle Kidman owes me some boobage. :p

Gonna dig out from the snow in the AM.

I may put in Transporter 3 and watch Jason Stratham blow some shit up to take the taste of mediocre chick flick out of my mouth.

I'm having a medium-rare steak with fries and ketchup and listening to the Village Peole.  Damn bumper music.

I picked up something called eye-of-chuck.  Thick cut and full of marbled fat... it was perfect.  It was all the good parts of a ribeye in one big steak.  I can feel my aorta closing.

Ah, and what did WE do tonight?  Are you still of the habit that if you're drunk enough you'll tell all?  :naughty:

I don't know what WE did tonight.  heh

We hung out, watched some Poison concert on HDNet, then Family Guy.  I was quite the good girl tonight.  :)

No, no, no...I want to hear about the part where there were nekkid wimmens swinging from the ceiling fans in between doing body shots of tequila.

Oh, and pic goodness would help too.

Sunday morning....going to church in a bit (picking my daughter up there).  Might take her shopping this afternoon so she can spend her birthday gift cards.

LONG day yesterday...was very tired so I went to be at 9 last night!  Made sure I stayed awake to eatch TV through Earth Hour.

Boys an Mr Flame are on their 2nd day of Hunter Saftey course (Mr Flame is there to keep the boys in line  :-))

Another cloudy day so far, but they say the sun is supposed to come out later.  I'll believe it when I see it!

Sitting here dreading the shower I have to take in the next 3 minutes in order to get to church on time.  I need tasered or something just to stay awake.  At 11:05am I will be back in bed sound asleep and drooling all down my face.  It is just going to be one of those days.

What the hell!

When I bought this (The ONE time I bought it) It was nothing like what you are describing!

I just figured it was the guy's name. I've also stopped buying meat from green chicks in pointy hats. :p

We skipped church, went only to Sunday School.  That may have been a good idea...I assist with the Pre-K and K class.  When I got to the church, I found no teacher for my class...or the 1st and 2nd grade class...or the 3rd - 5th class.   :o

There were already 13 kids...and I ended up with nearly 30.  I had no lesson plans, no papers for everyone to do, nothing.   :(  One of the helpers with the older kids came over to assist, thankfully, since several of the youngest kids can't go to the bathroom alone yet...and we just watched movies for most of the hour.

Then I turned them loose to look at library books or whatever...ended up with most of them in the Pre-K and K room, playing with Play-Dough, construction papers, markers and the chalkboard.

I think I'm going to make up some sort of generic lesson for all age groups, and have it ready for the next time this happens.

I don't think alot of folks realize how much work it is to teach Sunday School!

A couple years my church lost the High School Sunday School teacher...most of the time I had just a days notice that they needed me to teach it...it gave me a new respect for school teachers that have to teach several hours a day....

A few of the kids in that Sunday School class ended up working for me a couple years later. It was fun to watch them grow.

I'm having a lazy day.  I just watched Monster-in-Law on the teevee.  I thought it was funny.

Later on I have to do a quiz for management class.

Just got home from work.  Today was a mess. :(

Public Service Announcement:  If you can't check behind your car before you start to back out of a parking spot in a busy shopping center, you deserve to get sued. :hammer: Employee got hit at work today by a car with no working tail-lights, and the driver not paying attention.  They're okay, just shaken up with some slight bruising.  They went to the hospital (after what happened to Natasha Richardson, you really shouldn't take the chance of not going) and will be okay.

I would have really appreciated some notice!  I walked in at 9:27 to help with a class that started at 9:30...and no one else showed up!  I did find out that there were medical problems in the family, so not like anyone was being irresponsible...but some people have known since Thursday and never thought to let the "substitute" know.   ::)

I would never even attempt High School classes...you have my total respect!     :-)

Memo to self--steaks that have been frozen since last June aren't really very good.

We had meatball stroganoff and vegies. Some garlic bread with it.

I hope to get to sleep before 5 am tonight.

I TRIED going to bed at 1am last night but there were complications.

Nice complications, but complications nontheless.

Ok, I'm giving Facebook one more shot... but that might be a bad idea already. :o

An application for UNO? What the heck? That game is like CRACK, and now there's a Facebook version?  :thatsright: :lmao:

Me and the other players are giving each other hell in the game's chatroom.   "Why'd ya do that to me?" or "That was so nice of you (sarcasm.)"  :p

I prefer the "That's not nice" route. :p

Pff, Scrabble is where 'it's' at  :cheersmate:

I play Scrabble on Pogo with some friends.  That's our favorite version.  But on Facebook, Uno will probably end up reigning supreme, when they get the function for creating your own game room up and available, as it is still in "Beta" stage. I was playing with some Greeks and Aussies a few minutes ago.  There was this one Aussie... I'm pretty sure he was drunk, trashing me and the other players pretty badly because we kept targeting him with the "skip" cards and "add 2 or 4" cards. I do believe I got called a bitch at one point. :lmao:  I remember the good old days of trash-talking during the card game, so hopefully nothing changes for the online version with my friends.  :evillaugh:
