Townhall.com columnist calls Michelle Obama a "bitch"
This is even worse than Tammy Bruce calling Michelle "trash".

Burt Prelutsky was a TV writer a long time ago. Then he aged out of it and became a crank. This wasn't one of those major loses like Steinbeck. Now he writes a column for Townhall.com, the popular website owned by a Christian radio network.
Here's something from his current offering:
Take Michelle Obama...please. Every time I turn around, there she is on a magazine cover. Now, normally, like the Mafia, I lay off the spouses, but inasmuch as this particular spouse attended the same racist church as her hubby for 20 years, I'll make an exception in her case. After all, in spite of the fact that affirmative action got her an Ivy League degree and a $7,000-a-week salary and, moreover, has sent billions of dollars for no particularly good reason to Africa, she insists this is a mean country. The burning question in my circle is: if the First Family gets a female dog, will she be the First Bitch or will she have to settle for second place?

They're saying over there that there is no hypocrisy because someone calling Michelle a bitch online is not as bad as someone doing it on the radio.
Which says (a) "hey, we're assholes...we can call Laura Bush a bitch, and that's OK," and (b) they must have not been listening to Air America, oh, every single day. Randi Rhodes, Mike Malloy, and that faggot Stacy Taylor all called Laura the same or worse, regularly.

19. I believe it has happened, but I've never seen it. I do know that Hillary was called a bitch by
the Republicans constantly.
The difference to me is that I can't imagine anyone calling Laura or Barbara or Nancy this name on public airways or printing it in their newsletter.
Some may do it on a message board, but in a more "official" sort of capacity, I don't think so,

10. About a month ago I started a post about my mother's breakup letter with Townhall.
This has been going on since the primaries.
She has asked them over and over to take her off their list.
They didn't even have an unsubscribe feature until fairly recently.
She has sent clicked in unsubscribe dozens of times since.
Still, the letters come.
My mom doesn't even read them anymore because, unlike me, she doesn't enjoy keeping tabs on their insanity. It actually makes her very upset. She even called me in tears over something they sent during the General Election that referred to Obama's father and mother as something like a black pimp with a white whore.
Still, she says that even the subject lines are enough to make her start gritting her teeth.
If there was a sliver of a nanochance that my mom would vote for a single Republican ever again, she has seen such absolute ugliness, hatred and filth from that site that there is no way in hell it will ever happen.
Another thing is that my father who is an evangelical preacher has completely reinvented himself as a Christian, along with my mother.
The hatred, senseless fear and paranoia that certain Christians such as the owners of the Townhall website have shown them the uglier side of that movement.
My father was "disfellowhipped" from by the elders of the church congregations that his church was "in fellowship" with after the Kerry/Bush election because word got out that he had become "a lib'rul."
The members of my father's church voted unanimously to stay with my father, so now they are a little autonomous church in a Houston suburb with about sixty members.
They are self-sustaining and self-governing.
Not all of the members are what we would call liberals, but they know that my father believes in certain things such as the right for gays and lesbians to marry and that the United States is not some special, God's chosen country.
I believe that Townhall will soon become a strange relic of a past that the future generations will be scratching their heads about. On the way to that time, as they sense themselves getting more and more irrelevant, their rhetoric will get more and more vile.
This comment is a perfect example.
