Title: Slow Sunday
Post by: NHSparky on March 22, 2009, 09:17:24 AM
Got knocked out of the poker tournament in 17th (90 entrants, paid 10 places, dammit).  I'm thinking I'll just hang out and kick the dog around for a while, then start working on getting some of the seeding ready for the herbs and veggie garden.  Still at least 2-3 weeks away before the last frost danger is past, so maybe I can get these started soon.

No other major plans in my world, what about you?

House cleaning eventually.

We watched "Role Models" last night after tucking the kids in.  It was okay.  Light hearted slob comedy with boobies and some pretty funny moments.

I am slowly working my way up to breakfast here.

Coffee finally working on the brain. Now I have to tackle laundry. :-) It's supposed to be 65 today. Gonna shoo the kiddo outside.

Spent a few hours working in the garage, than the batteries ran low.  Sigh, cordless power tools are the kittens meow, until  :(

Now I'm taking a break, while those batteries recharge.  Pondering some lunch, and catching up on CC  :cheersmate:

Same here with emphisis put on eventually.

I did not sleep well, and have just enough sinus congestion to keep my head pounding. Very windy.

I of course will still enjoy my day off work.  I have not had to work a weekend for a long time, hope it lasts....crap...phone just started to ring...it's work!!!

I'm at work for the day.  I'll be here for the next 8.5 hours.

I need some entertainment.

Having a weird work day today.... was supposed to work 11:30 to 5:30, but because a closer called in sick, they had me clock out, and are having me return at 5:30 to work until 11.  I'll get about an extra 1 hour and 45 minutes on my next paycheck.  :cheersmate:

Ordered a pizza, and will go pick it up in a minute.  Will take my online MT test and go back to work later.

Can you find a co-worker to give you a lap dance?

There's only one here at the moment I would let within ten feet of me.  She's not bad from the neck down.

Is she the one with the endless jello supply?

That does sound pretty good.  Doesn't Pizza Hut have a buy-one-get-one free deal right now?

If you order online, at the top there's a tab for "Deals" and you can see all their coupons.

I feel like Mexican food.  I love me some enchiladas.

I just checked... if you buy a large regular pizza, you can get one medium for a penny.

LOL!  I just stopped by Little Caesar's and picked up a couple of the $5 pepperonis (one for me, and one for my neighbor/friend, who forced a $5 into my hand and begged for a pepperoni.  :lmao:   )

I can go back, though. :p

I'll have to check that out next time.  My local Pizza Hut is on the wrong side of the road (left side) so I was lazy and chose Little Caesar's. :uhsure:

That's why I shop at WalMart and not Publix.  Making a left turn around here takes forever.

We got a brand-new LC's a few months back.  Their pizza has been nothing short of perfection, and I don't waste my money like I would at Dominos.

Oh, I don't do Dominos either.  Yuck!

I either do Pizza Hut (when I'm too lazy to pick it up) or I really like Mr Jim's.

We got a new pizza/sub/italian restaurant in downtown Duluth,GA called Steverino's that's pretty awesome.  Local places ALWAYS beat the chains.

If there's ever another Atlanta CC get-together, that restaurant is at the top of the list for a place to hang out.

In the 80's we had LC's everywhere in Illinois, then by the year 2000 it went down to just one, inside a K-Mart.

The new oven baked sandwhiches from Dominos are to die for....they are huge.

70 degrees and the first boats of the season are on the lake.  I think some shore fishers are trying to catch the big ones that grew during the winter.. Maybe in a week I'll put the pontoon on the water.

Ah...nice day.  We went to church this morning (trying new ones, since we haven't found one we click with yet), and it was nice.   Came home and just chilled for most of the day.  Watched NASCAR, played Guitar Hero, taught my daughter to parallel park.  Getting ready to nosh on some nachos for dinner, along with a glass of wine.

A friend surprised me today and brought over a couple dozen cupcakes for my birthday.  It was a very nice surprise.

I thought about warming up my steak and doing the rest of the asparagus on the grill--until the wind started blowing at 30 mph.

Spaghetti--it's what's for dinner.  And I've got Girl Scout cookies for dessert.

Those blasphemous dope dealers!  They were openly slinging at a corner near me yesterday.  Hoodwinked me while walking out of a store, stared me down, and gave the 'or else stare'... I now have a jazzy box of Thin Mints and Samoas, and am once again... addicted...  :thatsright:  :bawl:  :banghead:

  I do my grocery shopping at 1am.  Quiet, empty stores and I don't have to risk being run over by some housewife not looking where she's going.  Dodging empty boxes left by the stockers is less hazardous, and there are no Girl Scouts.

I like to go about 9 t0 10 PM for the same reasons. Unless I need something from the deli case, then I have to go earlier.

I took a nap, congestion is a little better, and so is the headache. Sudafed and Lortab are my friends.

I need to go visit my mom, two years ago today, my dad was killed & it's hard not to think about it.
