I suppose there is not much left to decriminalize and legalize in relation to sex. They must be near the end of their slippery slope.

Consenting adults?  Unfortunately, most incest cases involve a minor and an adult relative.

Give it time here in the US.  Once they legalize gay marriage, it will only open other flood gates.

My guess would be, that it's much easier to keep it quiet when it occurs between two consenting adults.  And those two adults would surely have ample reason to keep such a thing quiet.

Point being, it's entirely possible that such a thing happens more often than you'd think.  And while it's disgusting, I can't see why it should be illegal.

Don't forget: one of the little things embedded in the UN Treaty on the Rights of Children is the clause giving minors the "right" to consent as if they were adults.

Guess what's being quietly pushed forward for Senate ratification by the Obamessiah administration...

Laws in the US vary from State to State, but indeed many States only criminalize incest if it involves minors, though universally disdained regardless of the age of the participants.  I suppose it makes sense analytically once the Supreme Court decreed that States could not outlaw bonesmuggling and butt-piracy between consenting adults.

It was pretty wide-spread [no pun intended] in the south following the civil war. 

How else was the south able to repopulate so quickly after the end of the war? 

Who knows, a couple certain democrat presidents with daughters might have practiced it while in the white house.
