Title: I can't get on the board correctly

I have to go through a google cached page to get to the forum.  All links I try come up as broken.  Any ideas what is going on?  Is it just me?

No idea, but I couldn't get on for about 10 minutes.

It was wonked out for about 15 or 20 minutes there.

Not sure whats up but the Admin Folks know.

I too was having a problem.

I did some trace routes from my PC to the server that CC resides on.

I was getting 100% packet loss between two backbone routers in the Time Warner system.

I think Thor was installing some SMF upgrades. We can now watch you undress.

 Everything looks okay now.

(I couldn't get to the server)

It's highly unlikely that it was the upgrades as it affected our sister site, USMILNET, too. I didn't mess with USMILNET. More than likely it was an internet glitch or some sort of server or host issue.

Ummm... server upgrades can do EXACTLY that.

Both sites are on the same server.

They (upgrades) can take massive amounts of CPU time.

This was merely a forum upgrade. It wouldn't have affected USMILNET. It shouldn't have affected the server at all, but anything's possible. I won't deny any culpability in the matter, but having done many SMF upgrades before, they rarely mess things up.

My bad.  I must have misread.  I thought you were doing a root upgrade.

Did you do a DB backup as part during your SMF upgrade?  That too can consume a fair amount of server resources.

No huge deal either way.  The outage was short term regardless of cause.
