Do the troops get checked for weapons before the president speaks in front of them?

I ask because of the RW nuts who are still on this BS about Obama not being a citizen and therefore not "really" being president or CIC. I have been reading articles on the freeper site about people joining to "protect the Constitution" by "whatever means necessary." It's scary to know there are a few of these people in the military. :scared:

3. I've wondered about that also

Giving a pledge means nothing. People beak pledges all the time.

9. I've been afraid to ask that question, and about the pesonnel

on the helicopters and AF1, too.

Hopefully we don't have any would-be martyrs close to him.

38. I found your question to be insulting to those serving in the Armed Forces

As was the premise of the thread. Those people protect and defend this country regardless of their feelings towards their CIC or the Congress.

One person in the thread actually calls this out for what it is. One person.

Because you fags and cowards could/would never hack it and you donate to skanks like Medea Benjamin who sent supplies to Fallujah while the head-cutter Zarqawi was holding it.

Hasn't Obama been photographed meeting with the Code Stink hag.

BTW DUmmies, officers are not permitted to express an opinion of an elected official, it's against the UCMJ.  Enlisted have more leeway, and he is widely despised from what I can tell.

Hmmm, what oath to the CiC are they talking about....the only oath I remember taking when I joined the service back in 1977 was to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States...no mention of the CiC at all. Maybe the DUmmys would like an oath to Obama....just like the one members of the Wehrmacht had to swear to Hitler back in the 30's.

There are quite a few that are worried. Word on the deck plates is that they are concerned about their jobs and benifits.

Here's the complete enlistment oath, (bold added):

I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

Right you obey his lawful orders as you would any 2nd LT.

But you aren't swearing or affirming to uphold and defend the POTUS...you're swearing to uphold the Constitution.

That's true. Anything along the lines of uphold and defend POTUS smacks of the Third Reich.

13. Yes, of course they are. Rahm Emmanuel and David Axelrod are checked
daily too as they enter the White House.

Everyone is checked.

Yup. I had to download my weapons in Iraq before I went in to see the VP.

51. They don't need to like him, they need to obey him.
Nope....not at this time there Jeff.

The Pentagon and the overall military are very wary of Obama. They have internal military codes of which they live by that aren't necessarily congruent with this particular President.

After Carter's crucifixions of 30 or so American solders in that fiery crash on the Iranian desert, the Military basically made policy going forward. Carter knew it but the American People did not.

 :rotf:

Ok, seriously...which one of you moles is doing this?

10. IIRC EIB (Limbaughs network) has exclusives with some of the channels the military listens to...
...Limbaugh is a racist who believes the person who shot King should get a meddle.

12. Really? He SAID that???
That's a perfect example of (another) racist statement he made. Dem. "strategists" need to learn about these things so they can give examples when Repubs. challenge them to come up with proof he's racist.

of course he didn't say it, you ****ing retard.
