Quote
Confronting misgivings, even in his own party, President Barack Obama mounted a stout defense of his blueprint to overhaul the economy Thursday, declaring the national crisis is "not as bad as we think" and his plans will speed recovery.

So... after spending the better part of the last year talking aobut how bad the economy is, now it's not as bad as they thought?

OH!!!  I get it!  I had this ILLUSION to prosperity!  It wasn't real, it was just an ILLUSION!  Oh thank you for pointing that out!  I am SO relieved that The Diluted One was able to point out that realty wasn't really so.

Bloody hell this man is such a narcissist and really has a disdain for free enterprise.   He really is the Manchurian candidate, isn't he.  I threw up several time during that article.  Of course all this comes out just by CHANCE of the day he got an "F" from the WLJ economists that just a few months ago thought he would be wonderful.

Hmmmm...let's see.  In the last three months, unemployment has risen from 6 to over 8 percent.  The Dow, even with recent gains, is still down 20 percent since he took office.  Inflation and gas prices are on the rise.  He's added $3 TRILLION in new debt and spending.

Yeah, that's just ****in great, Zero!

Jack Kirkpatrick: What's going on here? We have a right to know the truth!

Rumack: All right, I'm going to level with you all. But what's most important now is that you remain calm. There is no reason to panic.

Rumack's nose grows an inch long

Rumack: Now, it's true that one of the crew members is ill... slightly ill.

Rumack's nose continues to grow longer and longer

Rumack: But the other two pilots... they're just fine. They're at the controls flying the plane... free to peruse a life of religious fulfillment.

Mmmmkay, it was the worst economy in fifty years until Obama took over and took it down another 20%, to where it's not really so bad after all.  Makes perfect sense to me...

Some gains on the Dow,which was irrelevent last week, and now setting the stage for taking credit for anything positive.

It is simply politics.

Wow--it's almost genius in planning and execution.

Talk down the economy, make it tank for about the first six months of the new administration, blame it on the old one, and take credit for any improvements after that point, even if it never recovers to the levels prior to it tanking.

Evil, devious, and sheer brilliance.  Damn if I didn't admire devious ****ers like that on at least SOME level.

I would not bet on the rally this week being a permanent change of direction just yet.

Overhyped the crisis, eh?

Kinda makes you wish people had taken the time to actually READ the stimulus bill, don't it?

EDIT: Can we start repealing the stimulus as it is no longer needed, has yet to be injected into the economy and was a boondoggle from conception?

Hey Obama you Asshat, not buying it.  Just because you say something, doesn't make it true.  Why should anyone trust a lying fraud like you?   Your diabolical "plans" destroyed my wealth.  Stuff it.

"Confidence Builder-in-Chief"? "Object-in-Chief"?

For the moonbats, certainly.

But for the rest of the people who are capable of thinking (and do), of working (and don't - at least a sizeable percentage), and of mistrusting politicians (no other option, given the circumstances), that article does nothing but paint Obama as an unabashed egoist - and confirm that NOBODY in his regime can be trusted for anything but spewing lies and half-truths.

I think Obama was right. It's not as bad as we think.

Just wait until after 152 days in office! It'll be a lot worse!  :banghead:

Neither of those, he's the Celebrity-in-Chief, and he's got just about as much brain power as most of the paparazzi-targets.
